And in the agricultural sector we actively support the modernization of the foreseen procedures and the facilitation of all the involved citizens and officials.

In a recent survey, the creation of gov.gr was highlighted by the citizens as one of the most important events of the Post-colonial period. It is of particular importance that citizens trust the digital state and recognize its contribution to building the next day of Greece. Because this implies that they desire it, accept it and support it”.

Leuteris Avgenakis, Minister of Rural Development and Food,

«The modernization of the primary sector goes through the digitization of services for which until now producers used many man-hours.

Our goal is for the farmer to be at the production sites and not at the service counters.

The digitization of services through gov.gr offers this possibility and simplifies procedures for which producers used to spend time until now. The cooperation of the Ministries of Rural Development and Food and Digital Governance opens new paths for our farmers.

The digitalization of the services of the FSA has other fields of application. From OPEKEPE to ELGA whose digitization is progressing to offer services in a faster, more transparent and fairer way“.
