Share

On 7 September will be held, from the Hellenic-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry , the inaugural event of the new project Future4VET for the vocational training of young people in fields related to "green" energy and market digitalisation. The event will take place in the "Eleon - Loft" event hall in Athens.

The Future4VET project aims at the Greek-German cooperation for the establishment and supervision of Greek Regional Vocational Education and Training Councils and the pilot development of vocational education in the above mentioned fields, through Greek Model Vocational High Schools (EPAL) and Experimental and Thematic Institutes of Vocational Training (IEK).

Objectives of Future4VET

  • The transfer of knowledge to regional councils to build skills in professional sectors, covering new market needs
  • The development of new – innovative profiles of professions
  • The development of modern models of education, which will support the mega-trends of greening and digitalization

This project has a duration of 3 years. It is funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). Supported by Greek-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry in collaboration with the Institute Research FIAP e.V. (Research Institute for Innovative Profession Design and Prevention). This Institute is in charge of the partnership. It is also supported by the Agency «Arbeit und Leben Hamburg», which will contribute with its know-how. It is noted that the Green Entrepreneurship sector faces shortages of qualified and properly trained personnel, resulting in difficulties in filling the necessary jobs and obstacles to growth in a sector with great potential for the domestic market. Any interested party, who wishes to participate in the event, which has no participation fee, should complete the electronic declaration until 05.09.2022. Also, you can to contact the Hellenic-German Chamber of Commerce 210 64 19 028 and 210 64 19 040 or via E-Mail: k.panagiotou@ahk.com.gr or m.kaframani@ahk.com.gr.
