The new programme Financing the Operation of Structures & Technology Transfer Activities was announced by the Ministry of Development and Investment , which is part of the Operational Programme "Competitiveness, Entrepreneurship and Innovation".
According to the invitation of the Ministry, the aim of this program is to utilize the research results produced in the Public Research Bodies of the country (Universities, Research Centers) with emphasis on the priority areas of the national strategy RIS3 in order to develop the necessary structures, know-how and human resources of technology transfer to research institutions.
The program "Financing the Operation of Technology Transfer Structures & Actions" is co-financed by Greece and the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
Beneficiaries of the programme
The following are eligible to apply:
• Higher Education Institutions individually or in collaboration with other HEIs and / or research bodies
• Research Bodies of Article 13A of the Law Regulation (EC) No 4310/2014, except in case B individually or in cooperation with HEIs and/or other research bodies
Budget for Financing the Operation of Technology Transfer Structures & Actions
The budget for the new programme Financing the Operation of Structures & Technology Transfer Actions amounts to EUR 13.140.000.
Eligible costs
The funding may cover three main categories of activities, which have a Technology Transfer structure:
Α. Technology Transfer Actions
Eligible costs (indicative):
• Remuneration of new staff
• Fees to third parties
• Consulting/legal services
• Expenditure on feasibility studies
• Costs of intellectual property protection
• Proof-of-Concept development costs (less than or equal to 15% of the annual budget of the Technology Transfer Office)
• Promotion and advertising costs
• Travel and hosting costs for promotion and networking
Estimated Budget per Proposal: up to 1.000.000 euros
Β. Staffing & Organization of Offices and possible Collaborative Technology Transfer Structures
Eligible costs (indicative):
• Remuneration of new staff
• Consulting/legal services
• Software/Subscriptions
• Office Equipment
• Networking Expenses
• Promotion costs - creation of a corporate identity / website
Estimated Budget per Proposal: up to €630,000
C. Information, education and training actions
Eligible costs (indicative):
• Remuneration of new staff
• Fees to third parties
• Training costs (trainers' fees, rental of training facilities, training materials, trainers' travel costs, travel costs for training of node staff, etc.)
• Event organizing
• Other eligible costs
Estimated Budget per Proposal: up to 100.000 euros
