ERDF: 2 out of 3 beneficiaries continue working for at least another 12 months

Share

For the first time, the DYPA carried out the evaluation of the employment programmes, with regard to the development of the beneficiaries in the labour market after the end of the subsidised work, in the framework of the systematic monitoring of the effectiveness of active employment policies, with the aim of their continuous improvement.

The Strategic Planning Directorate of the FRA analysed combined data from the The Integrated Information System of the FRYPA and from the Information System ERGANI of the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs for a total of 40,000 beneficiaries of 11 different job creation programmes for the periodJune 2020 - December 2021.

These actions subsidise businesses to recruit unemployed people into new jobs by subsidising a percentage of the salary and contributions for a specific period of time, as defined in each public call.

In particular, the check in the ERGANI system looked forthe existence of an employment relationship (with any employer) at 3 time points: 1 day, 6 months and 12 months after the intended end date of participation in the programme. According to the analysis of the data:

  • 74% of beneficiaries were working 1 day after the end of the programme
  • 70% of beneficiaries were working 6 months after the end of the programme
  • 64% of beneficiaries were working 12 months after the end of the programme

A summary of the main results of the study is available at: https://www.dypa.gov.gr/storage/statistika-stoikheia/meletes-analyseis/prodimosiefsi-aksiologhsh-programmaton-neon-theseon-ergasias.pdf

The detailed results report is expected to be published in the near future.
