ELGA: Until July 1st, the timely payment of the special insurance contribution
Until July 1, the early payment of the special insurance contribution of the Hellenic Agricultural Insurance Organization can be paid (ELGA) of 2023.
Condition, as indicated in the Joint Ministerial Decision, is that the insured farmers, who will exercise the right of this provision, have paid the Special Insurance Contribution for the year 2022.

How is the ELGA insurance contribution calculated
The special insurance contribution is calculated:
- For Plant production four percent (4%) of the insured value and for olive one and a half percent (1.5%) and half percent (0.5%) for greenhouses
- For Livestock zero seventy-five percent (0.75%) of its insured value
It should be noted that in any case where the insurance contribution is not paid the producer is not compensated in case of damage. In addition, if the relevant amounts of insurance contribution are not collected within the prescribed dates by the obliged producer, the producer is informed in writing and then the amount is finalized by an act of the ELGA and sent for certification to the DOU, so that it can be collected in accordance with the provisions on the collection of public revenue, in application of provided for in Law 3877/2010 and those listed in the Financial Management Regulation of ELGA.
