A competition for startups that looks forward to highlighting patient-centered innovation, announced by Elevate Greece and Pfizer, in cooperation with Patients' Association of Greece. The prize for the winning team will be worth 20,000 euros, while the possibility of a possible collaboration with Pfizer.
Requisite
The Elevate Greece and Pfizer competition is looking for the most innovative digital solution to support Health Literacy, which meets one or more of the following requirements:
- Educate and empower patients with reliable and correct health information (e.g. detecting fake news and false claims, navigating the healthcare system, etc.)
- Improving and strengthening communication between patient communities
- Support and improve healthcare professionals' communication with patients and carers (e.g. maximising the effectiveness of communication, ensuring that the right information is conveyed in an appropriate way, etc.)
- Supporting and empowering patients to better manage their health at home, in the community or at work.
The proposed digital solution may consist of one technology or a combination of related technologies (e.g. SW. HW, applications, wearables, social networking, etc.). It may not be related to a specific disease (non-disease-specific) or may concern any of the following areas:
- Cancer
- Cardiovascular disease
- Immune system diseases
- Diabetes and metabolic disorders
- Pain
- Skin diseases
- Infectious diseases
- Rare diseases
- Prevention/Vaccines
