The rewarding and guidance of startups active in tourism issues is at the heart of the Cooperation Agreement signed by the Deputy Minister of Development & Investments, Mr. Christos Dimas and the president of the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels, Mr. Alexandros Vasilikos (Elevate Greece) .

The Hellenic Chamber of Hotels, as an institutional advisor to the State on tourism issues and having developed the CapsuleT Travel & Hospitality Accelerator, the first accelerator of start-ups in the field of tourism, based on the Cooperation Agreement, undertakes an Institutional Supporter of the initiative of the Greek Government "Elevate Greece".

The "Elevate Greece" initiative aims to map start-ups through the National Register of Start-ups of the General Secretariat for Research and Innovation of the Ministry of Development and Investments and to highlight a strong innovation ecosystem.

Elevate Greece - Δράσεις του ΞΕΕ

According to the provisions of the Cooperation Agreement, the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels, as an Institutional Supporter of Elevate Greece:

A) Participates in the "National Start-up Entrepreneurship Awards". It offers special cash prizes of a total value of 25,000 euros for Start-ups in the Tourism / Hospitality Category, which will focus on two themes:

• Exports/International Development & Interconnection
• Sustainability/Social Entrepreneurship in Tourism

The Hellenic Chamber of Hotels participates as an exclusive Institutional Supporter in this category of awards for the tourism industry. It is possible for both parties to include additional supporters in this category by mutual decision and consultation.

B) He participates in special committees – councils of Elevate Greece with an advisory character on tourism issues.

C) Participates with speakers in annual local or international events, thematic workshops / seminars and / or mentoring of winning companies after recording the needs of Elevate Greece programs and in consultation with the Ministry of Development and the GSRT.

All the above actions will support businesses registered in the National Register.They will be indicated by the GSRT to the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels or to businesses that the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels will wish to provide its services after approval by the GSRT.

At the same time, the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels maintains in force the action program of the CapsuleT Travel & Hospitality Accelerator. Its operation will continue independently but also in cooperation with Elevate Greece.
