The possibility to settle their insurance debts to EFKA in up to 24 instalments is now available to debtors. The regulation was activated yesterday and the first applications have already been made.
The monthly instalments of regulated insurance debts have been increased to up to 24 instalments from the previous 12. The minimum amount of the instalment is €50.
The relevant regulation was activated immediately after the recent adoption of the bill of Ministry of Labour. A prerequisite is the certification of debtors in Electronic Services KEAO.
Those who are already in the fixed regulation of 12 installments can apply from yesterday to join the 24, thus reducing the amount of the monthly installment.
Applications for the current week are made at the local branches of the EFKA and from next week they will also be made online.
There will be a further announcement on the launch of the online application.
Those who were not in regulation can apply for the 24 instalments from yesterday 29 November. Applications can be submitted either online or at a branch of the EFKA.
Regarding the interest rate headache, it is noted that the Minister of Finance has frozen the interest rates for tax debts. Something that is expected to happen with debts to social security funds.
