The “Professional Experience Acquisition Program for unemployed young people aged 18-29” of DYPA began in June and is DYPA’s first action in the context of the new NSPR.

More than 20,000 young people have already started the acquisition of professional experience through the first action of the new DYPA NSRP.

Beneficiaries are unemployed 18-29 year olds, registered in the digital unemployment register of DYPA, graduates of at least compulsory education, who neither participate in an education or training program, nor are employed.

The action is aimed at private sector companies throughout the country. A necessary condition for a company to be included in the program is not to have reduced staff during the three months prior to the submission of the online application on the DYPA online platform.

Enterprises are included, according to their staff, as follows:

Businesses with StaffMaximum Number of Beneficiaries
0-3 people1
4-9 people2
10-19 people3
20-30 people5
31-50 people8
51+ people20% of staff and up to 20 beneficiaries

The program lasts 7 months and DYPA pays the beneficiaries a monthly compensation equal to the legal minimum wage (with full insurance contributions), proportion of holiday gifts, leave allowance while the beneficiaries have full medical coverage of the e-EFKA.

The participation process is very simple: Businesses submit electronic applications at gov.gr and specify the specialty and required qualifications of the positions. DYPA confirms that the company meets the conditions, the employment counselors indicate candidates to the company and the company chooses among the candidates.

With a total budget of 200 million euros, the program is co-financed by the Greek State and the E.U. through the “Human Resources and Social Cohesion” Program.
