BEDDEO launched the first Greek corporate "Sandbox" in the electricity sector, aiming to respond directly and effectively to the challenges currently facing electricity energy distribution networks on the road to energy transition.

Given the key role of the DEDDHE in this transition, digitization and innovation are a one-way street for its transformation and therefore, the creation of the first Greek corporate "Sandbox" (supervised innovation development environment) is expected to contribute decisively in this direction.

In this context, the Hellenic Energy Regul atory Authority invites you to participate in its 1st action, the competition HEDNO Datathon.

The objective of the competition is to develop machine learning model algorithms to identify intentional non-technical power losses in the DEDDHE network and to find the most effective solutions.

The competition is addressed to:

• Scientists with a passion for data analysis and knowledge mining
• Teams of researchers, industry professionals and technologists with expertise in energy and data analysis
• Startups that have developed similar prediction models
• Companies whose business is the development of forecasting models

The procedure of the action of the TEN-T

• Phase A: Open submissions - Make an individual or group entry until 15.02.2023
• Phase B: Solution development and submission - Leverage the data from the DEDDHE and get support from energy and data experts to develop your solution. Submit your solution until 20.03.2023
• Phase 3: Final - The 10 best solutions will be presented to the jury

For the presentation of the HEDNO Datathon, an Info Day will take place on Friday, February 10, 2023 at 15:00 with physical presence at the Athens Conservatory's Foyer of Arts, at Rigillis & Vas. George B 17-19 and with web coverage.
