CYPA: Extension of training programmes for workers and unemployed

In the context of the implementation of the project of the Public Employment Service, Skills Upgrading and Retraining Programmes for employees in all sectors of the economy with emphasis on digital and "green" skills, which is addressed to 150,000 employees in the private sector, the deadline for the implementation of the training courses is 15 June 2023.

Beneficiaries can attend theoretical training programmes to acquire digital and green knowledge and skills and receive certification through independent certification bodies. Each trainee will follow a theoretical training programme concerning digital development and green knowledge and skills , of a total duration of 80 hours. The implementation of the programmes will be carried out through 12 hours of face-to-face training and the distance learning method, which will include at least 48 hours of synchronous distance learning and up to 20 hours of asynchronous distance learning.

Each beneficiary who completes the vocational training programme and successfully participates in the knowledge and skills certification exams is entitled to receive the full training allowance of €400 .

It is recalled that the project is implemented in the framework of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan "Greece 2.0" with funding from the European Union; NextGenerationEU. The aim of the action is to trainees to adapt the requirements of modern trends in the workplace, to upgrade their skills and thus contribute to the modernisation of the Greek economy.

Extension of the "new generation" training programmes of the DYPA for unemployed people

By decision of the Board of Directors of CYPA:

a. extending until 31 July 2023 the end date of the physical scope of the project on skills and retraining of unemployed people in high demand sectors with a focus on digital and green skills; and

b. The deadline for the implementation of the training courses is set at 15 June 2023.

It is recalled that the training programmes addressed to 120,000 unemployed people are implemented under the National Recovery and Resilience Plan "Greece 2.0" with funding from the European Union - NextGenerationEU.

Beneficiaries can attend theoretical training programmes to acquire digital and green knowledge and skills and receive certification through independent certification bodies.

The aim of the action is for trainees to adapt to the requirements of modern trends in the workplace, to upgrade their skills and thus contribute to the modernisation of the Greek economy.
