Commission: Στήριξη στον αγροτικό κλάδο με έκτακτη επιχορήγηση, ένα έκτακτο μέτρο που θα χρηματοδοτηθεί από το Ευρωπαϊκό Γεωργικό Ταμείο Αγροτικής Ανάπτυξης (ΕΓΤΑΑ), ώστε να μπορούν τα κράτη-μέλη να καταβάλλουν a flat-rate lump sum to farmers and agri-food businesses affected by significant increases in the cost of inputs, is being examined by the European Union. This measure was proposed by the European Commission.

This Commission measure will first have to be approved by the co-legislators. This support will enable member states to decide to use available funds of up to 5% of their EAFRD budget for the years 2021-2022 for direct income support to farmers and small and medium-sized enterprises operating in the sectors of:

• processing
• the trading
• the development of agricultural products

Member States are required to focus this support on beneficiaries who are most affected by the current crisis and are active:

• in the circular economy
• in nutrient management
• the efficient use of resources
• environmentally and climate-friendly production methods

Stocks and prices for the Commission

Η Επιτροπή εντείνει επίσης την παρακολούθηση των κύριων γεωργικών αγορών που επηρεάζονται από την εισβολή της Ρωσίας στην Ουκρανία. Σύμφωνα με απόφαση, τα κράτη-μέλη θα πρέπει στο εξής να κοινοποιούν στην Επιτροπή το μηνιαίο επίπεδο αποθεμάτων:

• cereals
• oilseeds
• το ρύζι και τους πιστοποιημένους σπόρους των προϊόντων αυτών που κατέχουν οι ενδιαφερόμενοι παραγωγοί, χονδρέμποροι και επιχειρήσεις

The Commission also launched a special table presenting updated and detailed statistics on prices, production and trade:

• wheat flour milling
• maize
• barley
• rapeseed
• sunflower oil
• soybean seeds at EU and global level

This table provides market operators with a timely and accurate picture of the availability of commodities for food and feed.
