Jacopo Losso, Director of EBAN for Business Angels
"The members of EBAN (European Business Angels Network) expressed their satisfaction for hosting their first conference in Athens in 2023. Our wish is at our annual conference to celebrate and share the amazing progress that Greece has achieved in innovation, entrepreneurship and investment. EBAN, Enterprise Greece and HEBAN will jointly contribute to bridging the Greek startup ecosystem with investors - Business Angels from all over the world."
George Filiopoulos, CEO of Enterprise Greece
«The Explosive growth of the Greek start-up ecosystem in the last decade, has turned everyone's attention to the potential and prospects that Greece presents in the field of technology. The Funding to Greek start-ups more than tripled in 2021. The first Greek unicorn company - Vivawallet - entered into an agreement with JP Morgan at the beginning of the year. This is expected to happen with other companies in the near future. At the same time, leading multinationals - such as Microsoft, Amazon, NTT Data - are investing in Greece. They thus further strengthen its position by turning it into a technology and innovation hub in Southeastern Europe."
Panagiotis Ketikidis, member of the board of EBAN and co-founder of HeBAN
"As the Hellenic Business Angels Network, we are proud to contribute to the award in Athens of the largest and most prestigious international business angel event in Europe. HeBAN has been an active member of EBAN for many years. Now is the best time for the international Business Angels community to turn its attention to the rapidly growing Greek startup ecosystem."
