The BASF, the leading chemical company, organizes, for for the third year, the BASF Innovation Hub 2023 innovation competition, with the support of the Association of Greek Chemical Industries . The competition is aimed at startups as well as young researchers and scientists from 11 countries in Central and Southern Europe, including Greece. This year, the theme of the competition focuses on those solutions that contribute to green technological transformation (cleantech), the circular economy and sustainable agriculture.

Dates and conditions for participation in the BASF competition

The deadline for submitting applications for the Innovation Hub 2023 competition started on 30 May and will run until midnight on 29 September 2023. Participation is open to individual researchers/scientists or start-ups and the only condition for participation is that the members of the start-up or individual participants must be over 18 years old.

Participants from Greece will have the opportunity to present their ideas together with participants from Bulgaria and Romania. Two winners will automatically qualify for the Grand Final, where they will again present their ideas, along with the other winners from 11 countries in Central and South-Eastern Europe. The winner of the Grand Final will receive a prize of €5,000 gross.
