Published on 22/01/2020 Call for investment projects entitled: Support for the modernization-upgrading of existing enterprises, with priority in sectors of the Regional Strategy for Smart Specialization (Action 3d.5-6.1), in the Region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace in the framework of the Operational Programme: Eastern Macedonia and Thrace 2014-2020.

New Support Action - Operational Programme Eastern Macedonia and Thrace

Within the framework of the Action, existing micro, small and medium-sized enterprises of the Region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace for investment plans to increase competitiveness and consequently improve their position in the domestic and international market with a minimum subsidized budget of € 60,000 and a maximum subsidized PC of € 800,000.

Through the Action, priority is given to investment projects in areas of the Regional Strategy "Smart Specialization" (Regional RIS3), namely:

• at agri-food sector ,
• at Tourism sector - Culture ,
• in the field of Materials (plastic-elastic, non-metallic minerals) and Innovative Materials,
• in the field of Chemicals, Pharmaceuticals and Health,
• at environment sector , energy and hybrid technologies,
• in the field of electronic / electrical equipment
• at information and communication technologies (ICT) .

Conditions for participation

Under this action, only the initial investment of an existing enterprise is financed. In particular, the investment project should concern:

• the investment in tangible and intangible assets in connection with the creation of a new establishment, or
• the expansion of the capacity of an existing establishment, or
• diversifying the output of an establishment into products that have never been produced there, or
• the fundamental change of the entire production process of an existing business establishment.

The budget of the Public Expenditure of the Action: support for the modernisation and upgrading of existing enterprises, with priority in sectors of the Regional Strategy for Smart Specialisation (Action 3d.5-6.1), amounts to 10.000.000 €.

The Public Expenditure of the Action is financed by National Funds and theEuropean Regional Development Fund (ERDF) under the Operational Programme: Eastern Macedonia and Thrace 2014-2020.

The duration of the implementation of the investment projects may not exceed 24 months.
