Agrifood Leadership: New Agriculture New Generation presents the first Agrifood Leadership program in Greece

The organization New Agriculture New Generation presents the pioneering program Agrifood Leadership, the first specialized Agrifood Leadership program in Greece, which aims to give participants the opportunity to become a member of a community of leaders, to network with renowned professionals, scientists and entrepreneurs in the field of Agri-Food and at the same time, to see and discuss about the new trends in production, in manufacturing, in marketing, but also in supply chain.

Who it concerns

The program is addressed to:

  • executives
  • entrepreneurs
  • farm owners
  • members of cooperatives and producer groups
  • rural banking executives and
  • public officials

Also, Agrifood Leadership is open to emerging mid-senior managers who are in positions of responsibility and lead teams, as well as talented executives, in development, who are called to lead new teams or have recently taken over team leadership.

The program and modules

The first program of leadership in the Agri-Food sector implemented in Greece is duration 90 hours and includes:

  • 8 experiential three days with trainings
  • systematic networking actions
  • site visits to industry decision-making centers
  • experiential leadership role-taking activities and
  • 2 online trainings

Agrifood Leadership modules include, among others, key concepts such as:

  • Leadership
  • Analytical Skills
  • Principles of Marketing
  • Governance
  • Agricultural Economy and Policy etc.

The aim of the program is to empower tomorrow’s Women Leaders and tomorrow’s Leaders of the agri-food sector, to prioritize:

  • to sustainability
  • technology
  • participation
  • market orientation
  • the collaboration
  • adaptability and resilience

The program is certified by ACTA, while the Technical and Strategic Advisor is Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, USA

The program Agrifood Leadership is implemented by the New Georgia New Generation organization through the founding donation of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF).

The sponsors of the three-day experience are COMPO EXPERT, KOUIMTZIS Group, Batsolakis Meat School and Day Group, the Chios Mastic Producers Association, the Consortium of Cooperatives of Producer Groups of the Prefecture of Imathia and the Messinia Association. Sponsor of the Program and Certifications is COSMOCERT. The program is under the auspices of the Ministry of Rural Development and Food.
