The European Institute of Innovation and Technology-Food (EIT Food) and Industry Disruptors Game Changers ( IDGC ), in collaboration with the Future Agro Challenge , announce the launch of the Empowering Women in Agrifood (EWA) programme , which supports women entrepreneurs in the agri-food sector in Greece. The programme is addressed to women entrepreneurs or holders of a business idea employed in the the agri-food sector. It is an accelerator of ideas that already counts three years of implementation in Europe with great success in previous cycles, while in Greece operates for the second consecutive year in order to support with personalised training, networking and funding ten (10) women.
Industry Disruptors continue to have as a priority the creation of an extrovert ecosystem in the agri-food sector that encourages and highlights innovative entrepreneurship on a global scale. In this context, they are implementing this project for the second year. They offer women interested in a career in this industry, networking opportunities as well as the necessary skills to develop their business ideas.
The beneficiaries of the Program will be a total of ten (10) and will have the opportunity to:
- Receive intensive guidance, tailored to their needs, from business and agri-food experts.
- To participate in entrepreneurship and networking events at both national and European level.
- Claim a total funding of up to €15,000.
