The SCIENCE AGORA, Innovation to Society Technology Transfer Hub aims to create a dynamic and integrated ecosystem for the exploitation of scientific research in Greece with international impact. In this context, it announces the first "Proof of Concept" program, on the topic of the environment and energy, which is implemented with the support of Google and in collaboration with five scientific organizations (Research Center EKEFE Democritus, Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation ACEin - Athens University of Economics and Business, National Technical University of Athens, ATHENA Research Centre and the Research University Institute of Communication Systems & Computer Systems and Systems). The program will finance business endeavors at the early stage of research idea evaluation and will support attracting additional investment to develop their idea.
Who it is aimed at the SCIENCE AGORA programme with the support of Google
- To the entire academic and research community, to groups of researchers, to scientists with a strong technological background and not only those interested in developing innovative services, products and models that can find application in the thematic areas of the program.
- In startups that develop innovative services and products providing solutions to these important challenges.

Why should a team participate?
The teams that will participate in the program can claim:
- Funding for the implementation of the PoC from 15,000 to 40,000 euros, based on specific evaluation criteria.
- Participation in mentoring sessions and pitching presentations for networking with the market.
- Consulting support from experienced market executives to implement the PoC in a real environment.
