In 13.5 billion The total budget of 372 projects amounts to EUR which are currently included in the subsidy component of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan Greece 2.0. A further 142 projects have been added to the 230 projects announced up to May 2022, of a total budget of 3.28 billion euros. These projects were included in Greece 2.0, with decisions signed by the Deputy Minister of Finance, Theo Skylakakis, who is responsible for its implementation.

In particular, of the 142 projects:

• 21 relate to the Green Transition
• 10 on Digital Transition
• 43 in Employment - Skills - Social Cohesion
• 68 projects in Private investment and transformation of the economy

It is recalled that the announcements by the Ministry of Finance of five more "packages" of inclusion of projects in the Recovery and Resilience Fund, total budget more than 10 billion euros. In particular, the items and their budget, in chronological order:

• July 2021: 12 projects (€1.42 billion)
• October 2021: 36 projects (€1.34 billion)
• January 2022: 55 projects (€3.35 billion)
• March 2022: 70 projects (€2.40 billion)
• May 2022: 57 projects (€1.70 billion)

1st pillar: Green transition of Greece 2.0

• West Greece Pumped Storage Station (Amfilochia), 680 MW (250,000,000 euros)
• Energy saving in public buildings (170,000,000 euros)
• Upgrades to the HEDNO network, with the aim of strengthening resilience and protecting the environment (60,000,000 euros)
• Urban regeneration of the former industrial area of Botanikos/Elayonas – Projects of landscaping and common spaces in the area of the Double Redevelopment and the Naval Fort in Elaeonas (55,909,048 euros)
• Urban regeneration of the former industrial area of Votanikos/Elayonas – Road construction projects, cycle path and construction of rainwater and drainage networks in Elaionas (40,840,495 euros)
• Upgrade of the HEDNO overhead line network in forest areas (40,000,000 euros)
• Athenian Riviera: City walk, section D. Kallithea to D. Varis – Voulas – Vouliagmenis (24,713,200 euros)

2nd pillar: Digital transition

• Development, manufacture, launch and pre-operation of small satellites, which will support secure connectivity services, combined with multi-purpose applications in the fields of quantum communication, telecommunications, video streaming for shipping, urban planning, surveillance of borders and/or the monitoring of forest fires and in other sectors of the economy (200,370,480 euros)

3rd pillar: Employment – Skills – Social Cohesion

• Universities of Excellence – Selected Greek HEIs are supported to upgrade and improve their research infrastructures (194,246,072.52 euros)
• Secondary Prevention – Preventive tests against cervical and colon cancer (153,574,285.16 euros)
• Research Excellence Partnerships – The project provides incentives and support to university research groups of recognized excellence to carry out innovative collaborative research projects with private sector companies, in order to enhance knowledge transfer to the real economy and stimulate innovation, within Greek universities (94,655 .941.54 euros)
• Integrated training and employment action for 15,000 unemployed people aged 25 to 45 (91,725,000 euros)
• Visiting Professors – Providing incentives to distinguished academic and/or research staff of foreign universities or research institutions abroad to carry out teaching and research, within the educational and research interests of HEIs (59,745,526.78 euros)
• National exercise and healthy diet program – Tackling childhood obesity (44,728,444 euros)
• Establishment of a Radiotherapy Center at the General Hospital for Thoracic Diseases of Athens "H Sotiria" (40,261,312 euros)

4th pillar: Private investment and transformation of the economy at Greece 2.0

• Investments from the Greek component of the InvestEU Fund – It concerns the use of loan support, in order to facilitate the provision of financial incentives to the private sector and the promotion of private investments (500,000,000 euros)
• TH 2 ORAX – Evolving, holistic, hybrid, operational, autonomous system. It will connect cutting-edge innovative technologies with the civil protection and defense of the country. (61.727.200 euro)
• Funding of Basic Research – Horizontal support of all sciences (59,059,751.60 euros)
• Emblematic actions in interdisciplinary scientific areas, with a special interest in the connection with the production network (39,875,819.20 euros)
• Digital transformation of the agricultural sector (36,727,250 euros)
• "ThessINTEC" Technology Park in Thessaloniki (35,062,000 euros)
• Upgrading the Courts' record keeping system (28,760,014.40 euros)

At Greece 2.0 also included projects of a reform nature, free of charge, such as the simplification of the licensing process for investments in RES, the new institutional framework for lifelong learning and skills development, the framework to combat smuggling, mainly for products subject to excise duties (tobacco, alcohol and energy) and the interconnection of electronic cash registers with systems (POS) and with IPRA.
