Signed by the Minister of Labour and Social Security Mr. Adonis Georgiades starts the disbursement of the first loans of the housing programme " My House", the DYPA .

The first loans are for the purchase of first homes by young people after the approval of the loans by the respective banks, as well as the successful legal and technical inspection of the properties.

The My House programme is being implemented at a rapid pace and has received a huge response. In particular, from the start of applications on 3 April until today:

• A total of 36.544 applications were submitted of which 25.573 have already been assessed, i.e. 7 out of 10 (70%)
• Of the 25,573 applications evaluated, 17,606 were pre-approved, i.e. almost 7 out of 10 (69%), while the rest were rejected as they did not meet the requirements
• Of the 17,066 pre-approvals, 4,706 loans have already been approved, i.e. more than 1 in 4 (28%), as a property has been found and the legal and technical check has started, with an average approval amount of around €104,896
• 62% of approved loans are for couples buying their first home, while 87% are for beneficiaries with an annual income of up to €24,000
• 39% of the approved loans are for the purchase of a first home in Attica and 22% in Central Macedonia, while 7% in the region of Eastern Macedonia-Thrace and 6% in Western Greece and Thessaly respectively.

It is recalled that through the programme My house young people or young couples 25-39 years old can acquire a house with a monthly instalment significantly lower than that corresponding to the market mortgage loans, as the 75% of the capital is granted interest-free by the FRA, while for those with three or more children (and those who acquire this status) the loan is interest-free in its entirety.
