Eight emblematic actions that connect research with the production web
In the version of the decision for the announcement of the Action: Eight emblematic actions in interdisciplinary scientific areas with a special interest in the connection with the production network, in the context of Greece 2.0 – Recovery and Resilience Fund, the Ministry of Development and Investments proceeded.
Eight Flagship Actions – goals
The main objective of the Action is to strengthen collaborative research projects of an interdisciplinary nature, of high scientific and technological quality. The aim is to integrate research and innovation into the country’s production fabric. Also the halting of “brain drain”.
The Action has as specific objectives:
- The development of cooperation between research teams and the cooperation between research bodies.
- The concentration of efforts and available resources on research thematic areas of major interest to society and the economy. Efforts in line with the priorities of the National Strategy of Smart Specialization.
- The utilization of the high qualifications of the research potential for development, tackling unemployment and halting the migration of quality scientific potential.
- The transfer and diffusion of innovative technologies to the productive bodies of the country. The aim is to develop/improve products, processes or services of high added value, by utilizing research products.
- The development of new knowledge – including new technologies. The aim is to improve the competitiveness of the Greek economy and to address important social and environmental needs.
The total Public Expenditure of the Invitation for the Eight emblematic actions, amounts to 39,322,800 euros. It is co-financed by the Greek State and the European Union. In particular from the Recovery and Resilience Fund.
