New farmers: The submission of applications for inclusion in the program is extended until February 25

Until February 25, 2025 they can submit applications for support to join intervention P3-75.1 “Settlement of young farmers of age” (young farmers) of “Strategic Common Agricultural Policy Plan (SS KAP) 2023 – 2027”, of the Ministry of Rural Development and Food.

Especially according to the 1st amendment of the call “as the period for submitting applications for support – nomination files is defined as the period from 11/29/2024 to 2/25/2025 at 13:00“.

At the same time, “the necessary justifications for the submission posted on OPSKE must have a date of issue by 2/25/2025“.

The amounts for participation in the program young farmers

According to the call for intervention, the support for each beneficiary amounts to up to 44,000 euros (in islands and disadvantaged areas. The beneficiary will receive 70% of the amount of support upon joining the measure and 30% after certification of the correct completion of the business plan.

In particular, 30,000 euros is defined as the amount of support. This amount can be increased, cumulatively, up to 14,000 euros as follows:

• increase by 2,500 euros, if the area of permanent residence of the heads of farms is located in mountainous areas or areas facing natural limitations outside of mountainous areas or areas affected by special disadvantages and in regional units with a population density of less than or equal to 35 inhabitants per square kilometer based on the 2021 population census) or a combination of these categories of areas or
• increase by 4,000 euros if the area of permanent residence of the farm heads is on islands with a population of up to 3,100 inhabitants
• increase by 10,000 euros, as long as the direction of the agricultural holding at the completion of the business plan is poultry farming. The financial support is granted in the form of capital and is paid in two instalments

Financial support is granted in the form of capital and is paid in two installments. The first installment (70% of the total amount of support) is paid after a relevant payment request immediately after the issuance of the integration decision. The last installment is paid within 5 years of the start of the implementation of the business plan with conditions the correct implementation of the business plan and the achievement of the goal and commitments.
