Deloitte StartUp Acceleration Program: Call for startups and young people to submit innovative business ideas

Deloitte and its Innovation Hub in Patras, Brainzone, for the second consecutive year, issues an open call for innovative ideas within the 2nd cycle of the Deloitte StartUp Acceleration Program. The Program is addressed to students, graduates, young people or newbies businesses, either existing businesses or in initial stage of creation and come from the innovation ecosystem of Patras and the wider region.

The 2nd cycle of the program, with the theme “Developing innovative solutions for the benefit of society and entrepreneurship”, aims at the development of innovative products and services that improve the way of operation of businesses, but also of society as a whole, based on technology. Candidates are invited to submit their proposals until December 15 and will then be evaluated by a Deloitte committee.

Those selected will work with the company’s consultants in the context of an extensive mentorship program with the aim of developing their projects into companies with a strong impact on the market.

It should be noted that the 1st cycle of the Program was a great success, gathering 42 entries, of which 4 startups were distinguished, which Deloitte supported with mentorship and workshops, in the preparation of their business plan and in their networking with investors. One of them, which helps athletes with mental health issues, even managed to draw funding from the United Kingdom, others managed to get in contact with major companies in their industry, while some still had the opportunity to travel with Deloitte to Lisbon and participate in the Web Summit, a gathering of startup companies and investors and a celebration of innovation.
