“My house 2”: At the beginning of January 2025 the program is coming – Who are the beneficiaries?

Those who want to acquire a home with the cheap mortgages of the “My Home 2” program will have to compete in a race which will “run” from the beginning of 2025.

“At the beginning of January, the “Spiti mou 2” program opens and will support 20,000 our fellow citizens” said Deputy Minister of National Economy and Finance Nikos Papathanasis.

Mr. Papathanasis clarified that “someone will be able to buy a house at half the interest rate, the interest rate will be reduced by 50%”, stressing that a total of 2 billion euros will be given in loans, with income and age criteria being expanded”.

“Our fellow citizens up to the age of 50 will be able to receive it,” he added.

He also explained that “he can receive a loan of up to 190,000 euros or 90% of the value of the property.” There should be 10% capital, but there is a cut-off at the 190,000 euro loan”.

«The interest rate will be below 2%. The program will run until the resources are exhausted. A very important program, the market is waiting for it, young people who want to buy a house are waiting for it”, he added.

This is a program of low-interest mortgages, with the aim of facilitating the purchase of a first home with resources from the loan arm of the Recovery Fund.

He also emphasized that towards the end of January the program “Upgrade”, amounting to 400,000 million euros, is expected to open. “It has no income or age criteria. “Every Greek can receive an interest-free loan of 25,000 euros,” said Mr. Papathanasis, explaining that it can also be combined with the “My Home” program.
