ELGO Dimitra: Registrations for Higher Vocational Training Schools are starting
From July 10th to September 15th the registrations at the public Higher Vocational Training Schools (SAEK) of ELGO – Dimitra.
ELGO-DIMITRA offers studies for a modern Agricultural Vocational Education to young holders of a General or Vocational High School diploma and equal securities, who want to be active and/or employed in farms and enterprises of agri-food sector.
In the training year 2024/25, six SAEK in the Regional Units of Ioannina, Heraklion, Corinth, Larissa, Attica and Trikala will operate with morning hours, with the following seven (7) specialties:
- Ioannina – Dairy School:
Dairy Technician-Cheesemaker - Heraklion – Messara Agricultural School:
Greenhouse and Covered Crops Technician - Corinth – Nemea Agricultural School:
Viticulture and Oenology Technician - Larissa – Averofios Agricultural School
Manager of Farm Animal Breeding Systems - Agricultural Machinery Maintenance and Repair Technician
- Attica, in the Estate of Syngrou Amarousiou:
Technician of Horticultural Applications and Greening Projects - Trikalon – Kalambaka Wood Carving School:
Wood Carving Technician and Applications in Wooden Constructions
Submitting the application
The candidates submit the selection application online through the Uniform Digital Portal of the Greek State, following the route: www.gov.gr → Education → Enrollment in a school → Higher Vocational Training Schools of ELGO-DIMITRA → Enrollment in SAEK …….(specialty ……..), or by choosing the following online address: https://www.gov.gr/ipiresies/ekpaideuse/eggraphe-se-skholeio and then SAEK and the specialty.
The TAXISnet codes are required to enter the application to submit an online application.
Study is free and lasts 5 semesters:
- 4 semesters of theoretical and laboratory training
- 1 semester of Internship
The internship
The trainees can carry out their practice in structures of ELGO – Dimitra with responsibilities and subjects related to the specialization of the SAEK course.
With the expenses of ELGO – Dimitra, free housing and meals are provided to a certain number of students per SAEK. The provision does not concern SAEK Attica – Syngrou Amarousiou Estate.
The graduates of SAEK, after the successful completion of their training, are granted a Professional Training Certificate (BEK) of Law 4763/2020, which gives its holder the right to participate in certification exams by EOPPEP, to obtain the level five (5) title of the National Framework Qualifications.
