ASEP: What announcements are currently “running” for thousands of permanent and fixed-term positions in various institutions
A “barrage” of recruitments is brought by the announcements of the ASEP that are “running” this period and concern thousands of permanent and fixed-term positions in various bodies of the public sector with the candidates to throw themselves into the… battle for a position that will open the doors to even permanency.
The preliminaries
On the first ten days of August, the announcement 1GB/2023 of the ASEP was issued, regarding the filling of a total of 141 permanent University and Technological Education staff positions – exclusively from successful candidates of the competition held last March – in the Civil Aviation Service. This was the first announcement addressed only to those who had succeeded in the annual competition.
Followed a few days ago the second long-awaited announcement, 2GB/2023 of the ASEP, which concerns the filling of a total of 1,843 positions of permanent staff and staff with an employment relationship of Private Law Indefinite Time Technological Education.
And in this only the successful candidates of the pan-Hellenic written competition have the right to submit an application, who from Tuesday 17 October at 08.00 until Friday 3 November at 14.00 will be able to via the website (www.asep.gr) to complete and submit an electronic application for participation in ASEP, with the required supporting documents attached.
It is indicative that the distribution of positions concerns regions throughout Greece, while among the positions, as stated in the announcement, the following are requested:
- librarians
- agriculture – forestry technologists
- surveyors, civil engineers and
- staff with IT expertise
As for the agencies, in which the positions will be filled, they range from ministries to municipalities, regions and also public libraries. However, the third corresponding announcement which will absorb candidates from the pool of successful candidates, with the 3GB/2023 of the ASEP foresees more than 4,000 permanent positions for graduates of University Education in Greek State bodies.
In fact, according to ASEP president Thanos Papaioannou, this announcement is expected to be sent to the National Printing Office by the end of October and will concern a total of 4,282 public sector recruitments.
ACEP winners
After all, this was the commitment of the leadership of the Ministry of the Interior, the routing of faster and more efficient recruitment procedures, with particular emphasis on the absorption of the successful candidates of the first pan-Hellenic written competition of ASEP.
Indeed, as Minister Niki Kerameos had stated, ASEP will immediately issue the first notices for recruitment in over 180 public bodies from the “reservoir” of the successful.
At the same time, from tomorrow 12 to 19 October the submission of applications for the 500 permanent Judicial Police positions will be open. These are 30 University Education positions, 70 Technological Education positions and 400 Secondary Education positions.
According to the announcement, the positions of the PE, TE and DE branches of the Judicial Police have as subject:
- the service of pleadings and procedural documents
- the execution of the decisions of the criminal courts
- the orderliness of court sessions and
- the guarding of judicial offices
Indeed, the selected candidates will provide their services:
- to the Council of State
- to the Supreme Court and the Prosecutor’s Office of the Supreme Court
- at the Court of Auditors as well as
- in prosecutions and courts
Meanwhile, as announced, 7,300 substitutes are currently being recruited in the field of Special Education, while at the beginning of next month the third phase will begin, with an additional 2,700 recruitments. It is worth noting that the number of these 10,000 recruitments is clearly greater than the original plan, as it was found that the needs in the country’s schools are now increased by 30%.
