Confluence Challenge: 10 + 1 Challenges from Alumil, Isomat & KLEEMAN for researchers and startups

Intelligent and innovative solutions to the modern problems faced by Greek multinational industries are invited to provide researchers and start-ups from all over Greece and abroad through the action noopener noopener Confluence Challenge.

Three large multinational companies of Northern Greece, ALUMIL, ISOMAT and KLEEMANN encourage innovation through collaboration, in an effort to connect the research community and the innovation ecosystem with Greek industry and to answer challenges for which until now at the moment no solutions have been provided by the market. Through the Confluence Challenge action, companies set 10 challenges and 1 open invitation to anyone who has the knowledge and experience and is ready to contribute to the further development of their companies.

The 10 challenges concern the search for smart solutions to improve a range of industrial processes:

  • from product design to supplier/material research
  • the labeling of chemical substances
  • the productivity forecast
  • the optimization of storage and transport
  • financial procedures and packaging recycling

Furthermore, the three companies also set an open challenge for anyone who has an original idea related to the field in which they operate.

Applications will be accepted at confluence-challenge.net until September 24th.

Accelerator

Selected teams will be invited to a bootcamp in mid-October, from which the finalists will be selected to participate in the 8-week acceleration program. The whole program will be conducted in a hybrid way without the need for physical presence. During the acceleration process participants will receive guidance from industry executives, personalized coaching and specialized seminars. The action will conclude with the Demo Day, in which the teams with the best solutions will be distinguished.

The teams that will develop the most promising and effective solutions to the challenges will share 30,000 euros in cash prizes and additional prizes in kind.

The action is organized by the Competence Centers “Architectural Aluminum Academy” and “I4byDesign” with planning and implementation by the companies specialized in supporting innovation, “Atlantis Consulting”, “Anthology Ventures” and “Ideas Forward”.
