The Elevate Greece 2022 National Youth Entrepreneurship Awards<\/strong> will take place for the second consecutive year on Friday 2 December<\/strong> at the \n National Research Centre for Natural Sciences (NCRS) “Demokritos”<\/a>\n<\/strong>, under the auspices of the Ministry of Development and Investment.<\/p>\n\n

The announcement for the awards<\/strong> was made by the Deputy Minister of State for Development and Investment and initiator of Elevate Greece<\/strong>, Christos Dimas, who said:<\/p>\n\n

“The Elevate Greece Awards have become an institution<\/strong> for rewarding<\/strong> and promoting<\/strong> start-ups<\/a> buissneses<\/a><\/strong>, innovation and creativity.”<\/p>\n\n

During the event, 10 winning startups<\/strong> – members of the National Register of Startups – Elevate Greece, which have registered<\/strong> their participation<\/strong> in the Second National Startup Awards and have been awarded<\/strong> the highest<\/strong> score<\/strong>, after evaluation<\/strong> by active members of the national and international<\/strong> innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

The categories of the Elevate Greece awards for 2022<\/strong> are the following 10+1:<\/p>\n\n

1. Fastest rising start-up: Fastest scaling in the last three years<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

2. Spin-off of the year: Innovative business originating from research organisations (research centres and universities)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

3. Social Contribution Award: Impact on major social challenges<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

4. Environmental Impact<\/a> Award: Highlighting environmental solutions<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

5. Women’s Entrepreneurship Award: Women’s in Business<\/a> Leadership<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

6. Business development and extroversion award: Notable penetration of foreign markets<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

7. 4th Industrial Revolution Technology Utilisation<\/a> Award: modern industrial technologies (Robotics, AI, 3D printing, IoT, etc.)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

8. Tourism and Hospitality<\/a> Award: Innovative products\/services in the field of tourism<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

9. Life Sciences<\/a> Award & Focus on improving human health<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

10. Top start-up from the ecosystem: Voted exclusively by Elevate Greece members<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

11. Start-up of the year<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

The final prize will be awarded to one of the above categories that will be judged to meet the criteria of the best start-up of the year, after evaluation by members of the National Research – Technology – Innovation Council<\/a><\/strong> (NSETEK).<\/p>\n\n

At last year’s event, the award<\/strong> was presented by<\/strong> the Prime Minister<\/strong>. Kyriakos Mitsotakis is expected<\/strong> to be<\/strong> present<\/strong> this year as well. Also, the leadership of the Ministry of Development and Investment<\/strong> will be present at the National Young Entrepreneurship Awards.<\/p>\n\n

The start-ups<\/strong> that excel in their participation in the awards will win cash prizes with a total value of hundreds of thousands of euros<\/strong>, which constitute offer<\/strong> from the official supporters of Elevate Greece<\/strong>, coming from the innovation, investment and entrepreneurship sector, including banks<\/strong>, multinational<\/strong> companies<\/strong> and Greek<\/strong> businesses<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

At the same time, the winning startups will also gain rewards of great monetary value<\/strong> from the institutional supporters of Elevate Greece<\/strong>, such as:<\/p>\n\n
