{"id":9436,"date":"2023-02-28T16:08:05","date_gmt":"2023-02-28T16:08:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev-espa.summerize.io\/nsrf-absorption-rate-has-exceeded-80\/"},"modified":"2023-08-28T07:09:24","modified_gmt":"2023-08-28T07:09:24","slug":"nsrf-absorption-rate-has-exceeded-80","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/espa.io\/en\/nsrf-absorption-rate-has-exceeded-80\/","title":{"rendered":"NSRF: Absorption rate has exceeded 80%"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/espa.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/espa-i-aporrofitikotita-exei-xeperasi-to-80-1024x498.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n<p>The <strong>absorption of NSRF funds has exceeded 80%<\/strong>, said the Deputy Minister of Development and Investment, Yannis Tsakiris, while he predicted that <strong>all available funds will be absorbed by the end of the programme<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p>Speaking on ERT&#8217;s First Programme, Mr. Tsakiris explained that these funds are related to the <strong>NSRF of the 2014\/20 period<\/strong> which<strong> has been extended until the end of 2023<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p>He also said that the <strong>consultation<\/strong> on the <strong>first action of the new NSRF<\/strong> covering the <strong>period 2021\/27<\/strong> starts <strong>today, Monday<\/strong>. The first action concerns the <strong>digitisation of<\/strong> <strong>small and medium-sized enterprises<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p>The initial <strong>budget<\/strong> is  <strong>300 million euros<\/strong>, but can be <strong>increased<\/strong> <strong>depending<\/strong> on <strong>needs<\/strong> and interest.<\/p>\n\n<p>Mr Tsakiris also expressed the expectation that <strong>Greece<\/strong> will be able to <strong>use<\/strong> the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.minfin.gr\/tameio-anakampses\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Recovery Fund<\/a> funds<\/strong> in time. Any possible delay in the participation of private funds will be overcome. That&#8217;s because <strong>the projects on the list, both public and private<\/strong>, are projects that are mature and businesses want to do them.<\/p>\n\n<p>The Deputy Minister of State for Development and Investment also referred to the issue of <strong>innovation<\/strong> and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/espa.io\/en\/business_type\/new-business\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">start-ups<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p>As he pointed out, the brain drain has ended as there is a great mobility in our country.<\/p>\n\n<p>&#8220;We have  <strong>new programs<\/strong> from <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/hdb.gr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Hellenic Development Investment Bank<\/a><\/strong>, the old  <strong>TANEO<\/strong>  on a much larger scale with many programmes having been approved and passed to the second phase and we have even put out programmes which  <strong>are not only for start-ups and innovative businesses<\/strong>  but they also concern energy, they concern other sectors of the economy,&#8221; he said. Tsakiris said.<\/p>\n\n<p>The startup ecosystem has fully blossomed, he said. Tsakiris and there is still a lot of room left to bloom more.<\/p>\n\n<p>Mr Tsakiris said, &#8220;we see <strong>startups<\/strong> <strong>receiving investments<\/strong> from foreign capital. We&#8217;re seeing <strong>big foreign companies coming in to take over completely<\/strong> and <strong>setting up in Greece<\/strong> and increasing their presence here. So it has given the economy a very, very important boost. And my will is  <strong>this piece of start-up entrepreneurship really becoming an important part of GDP<\/strong>  of the country, so that we have  <strong>several variations in GDP<\/strong>  and not to rely only on  <strong>traditional Greek industries<\/strong>, such as tourism, which is obviously growing too, but with variations. In this way we are also making the<strong>economy more resilient<\/strong>. It&#8217;s not just about growing the economy, it&#8217;s about resilience.
