The Job Experience Programme for 10,000 unemployed young people, aged 18-29<\/a>, in the regions of<\/a><\/strong> Attica<\/strong> and Central Macedonia<\/a><\/strong>, exceeded 6,000 recruitments. In particular, 3,200 young people<\/strong> in Central Macedonia<\/strong> and 2,800 young people in Attica<\/strong> have already started working. Applications for the remaining 4,000 posts<\/strong> continue to be submitted at a high rate.<\/p>\n\n

The new 7-month programme<\/strong> aims<\/strong> to boost young people’s access to the labour market<\/strong> by subsidising the acquisition of work experience<\/strong>. \u0394\u03a5\u03a0\u0391<\/strong> will pay the beneficiaries a monthly allowance equal to the legal minimum net wage<\/strong> (with full social security contributions). The proportion of holiday bonuses and holiday allowance<\/strong> is also paid.<\/p>\n\n

The beneficiaries are 10,000 unemployed young people, aged 18-29 years old, graduates of at least compulsory education<\/strong>. They must be registered in the unemployment registers<\/strong> of the Employment Promotion Centres of the Employment Promotion Centres of the DYPA<\/strong> located in the areas of competence of the Region of Attica<\/strong> and the Region of Central Macedonia.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

Companies interested in participating are included in the programme according to the number of staff they employ, as follows:<\/p>\n\n

A necessary condition is that the company has not made a reduction in staff<\/strong> due to the termination of an employment contract in the 3 months prior to the submission of the application.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

Businesses<\/strong> interested in participating should submit<\/strong> an online application<\/strong> through the \u0394\u03a5\u03a0\u0391 website. It shall specify the speciality and educational level<\/strong> of the post.<\/p>\n\n

\u0394\u03a5\u03a0\u0391<\/strong> confirms<\/strong> that the undertaking business fulfils the conditions<\/strong>. The job counsellors<\/strong> nominate candidates<\/strong> according to the qualifications required for the vacancy. Then the company selects the beneficiary and they sign a cooperation agreement.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

The project, with a total budget of 68.000.000 euros<\/strong>, is co-funded by the Greek State and the \n European Social Fund<\/a>\n<\/strong>\/ Youth Employment Initiative.
