A a new<\/strong> program<\/strong> and a new<\/strong> service<\/strong> has been announced by the Hellenic Development Bank – EAT<\/strong>. Two initiatives<\/strong> implemented in cooperation<\/strong> with the services Interoperability of<\/strong> the Ministry of Digital Governance<\/a><\/strong>, the services of<\/strong> the Ministry of Development<\/a><\/strong> and the Ministry<\/strong> Rural Development<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n

Microloans<\/strong> from the EAT<\/strong> <\/h2>\n\n

For the first time, the Development Bank<\/strong> introduces the institution of low-interest<\/strong> micro-loans<\/strong> to farmers<\/strong> and agricultural<\/strong> manufacturing<\/strong> enterprises<\/strong><\/a>. It concerns small<\/strong> investments<\/strong> aimed at strengthening<\/strong> agricultural<\/strong> production<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

The Know Your Customer platform<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n

For the first time, the Know Your Customer<\/a><\/strong> (KYC by HDB) platform is launched. It allows interested<\/strong> parties to express<\/strong> their interest<\/strong> through simple procedures, with a<\/strong> single application<\/strong>. As long as they are eligible<\/strong> (Tax and Insurance aware and without any pending issues with TIRESIA) their application<\/strong> for funding<\/strong> is simultaneously<\/strong> available<\/strong> to as many banks<\/strong> as they choose<\/strong>. Market forces will broaden<\/strong> their options<\/strong> for short<\/strong> and low interest<\/strong> loans.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

Interested farmers and manufacturing companies can visit the website of the Hellenic Development Bank: www.hdb.gr<\/a><\/strong> to express their interest in the Small Loan Fund for Rural Entrepreneurship.<\/p>\n\n

The procedure<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n

Interested parties submit<\/strong> details<\/strong> on the new KYC platform.<\/strong> They are then informed of their eligibility to qualify for the financing offered by the Fund, for small<\/strong> loans<\/strong> from 3,000 to 25,000 euros<\/strong>. They are co-financed<\/strong> by the Rural Development Programme<\/strong> without the provision<\/strong> of<\/strong> collateral<\/strong> on the part of the rural<\/strong> borrowers.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

After testing<\/strong> by the executives of the Hellenic Development Bank – HDB and successive stress tests<\/strong>, especially – at the last stage – in cooperation with a large Cooperative Bank that has a wide range of clients in the agricultural sector, the KYC platform is available to accept the first applications<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

The CEO of the Hellenic Development Bank – HDB, Athina Hadjipetrou, keeping her commitment to the Prime Minister to expand the bankability of businesses<\/strong>, took the initiative of<\/strong> the strategic planning and implementation of<\/strong> this innovative<\/strong> platform<\/strong> that changes the financing landscape.<\/p>\n\n

The KYC platform from EAT:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

    \n
  • introduces the institution of microloans in the Greek market<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • facilitates and accelerates the cooperation between the various stakeholders and<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • ultimately expands the number of financed enterprises<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n

    It links<\/strong> the requests<\/strong> of businesses<\/strong> with the financial<\/strong> tools<\/strong> of HDB<\/strong> and addresses them to all the partner banks.<\/p>\n\n

    In this way, all interested enterprises<\/strong> gain visibility<\/strong> in the banking system<\/strong>. In turn, it will receive applications<\/strong> that do not<\/strong> conflict<\/strong> with insurance<\/strong> and tax information<\/strong> and solvency.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
