Without income criteria<\/strong> is expected to run<\/strong> the long-awaited program<\/strong> for photovoltaics on the roof<\/strong>. The most likely scenario<\/strong> says that the selection of<\/strong> beneficiaries<\/strong> will be prioritized<\/strong> according to<\/strong> the \n ExoEconomy<\/a>\n<\/strong>, with the aim of \n energy savings<\/a>\n<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n

As explained by expert analysts, it seems<\/strong> that the income criteria<\/strong> system<\/strong> in the “Recycle – Change Appliance”<\/a><\/strong> model cannot be promoted<\/strong>. This is due to the fact that the investment<\/strong> required is considerable<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

Previous experience<\/strong> from the “Recycling – Appliance Exchange<\/strong>” programme showed that even for electrical appliances, some<\/strong> people got<\/strong> the voucher<\/strong> to exchange their old appliances, but when the time<\/strong> came<\/strong>, they did not have the money<\/strong> to go through the process. So many applications were left pending.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

Thus it is estimated that the most likely scenario<\/strong> is that the selection<\/strong> of beneficiaries will be made on the basis of beneficiary prioritization<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

Subsidy and the “Execonomo” model<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n

The subsidy<\/strong> is expected<\/strong> to be in the range of 30% – 40%.<\/strong> For those who choose<\/strong> to combine<\/strong> the photovoltaic<\/strong> with an energy storage battery<\/strong>, the subsidy<\/strong> will get an additional bonus<\/strong> as it is expected to increase to 60%<\/strong>, covering a larger part of the total investment cost.<\/p>\n\n

At the Ministry of Energy, preparations are feverish and the guide of the new program<\/strong>, which thousands of households and businesses are waiting for, should be expected<\/strong> -according to reports- at the beginning of 2023<\/strong>, most likely, if not by the end of the year.<\/p>\n\n

The perimeter of beneficiaries opens<\/strong> for Photovoltaics<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n

In fact, according to well-informed sources, it is not excluded that the number of beneficiaries will gradually increase to more than 250,000,<\/strong> depending on the needs of the beneficiaries who will join the programme.<\/p>\n\n

In principle, the program<\/strong> will open<\/strong> for 250,000 potential beneficiaries<\/strong>. It will subsidises<\/strong> the installation of photovoltaic systems up to 10kW<\/strong> in roofing<\/strong> housing<\/strong><\/a>, \n business<\/a>\n<\/strong> and in \n agricultural holdings<\/a>\n<\/strong>. This does not mean<\/strong>, however, that all<\/strong> beneficiaries<\/strong> will install<\/strong> a 10kW photovoltaic system<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

The procedure<\/strong> is expected<\/strong> to provide for the involvement<\/strong> of an energy<\/strong> inspector<\/strong> at the initial stage. The inspector will determine<\/strong> the required<\/strong> capacity<\/strong> based on the needs<\/strong> of each household<\/strong> and business<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

As explained by energy analysts it is estimated that the<\/strong> needs of an<\/strong> average<\/strong> household<\/strong> are covered<\/strong> with a power close to 6kW<\/strong>. The PV programme<\/strong> is structured<\/strong> with subsidies for 250,000 10kW units<\/strong>. Thus it is estimated that as the programme runs, additional room for subsidies will gradually emerge for more beneficiaries from the kW “left over”.<\/p>\n\n

That is, given that the programme<\/strong> covers<\/strong> potentially<\/strong> photovoltaic systems with a total capacity of 2,5 million kW<\/strong> and the implementation of the programme shows that of the 250,000 beneficiaries 1.5 – 2 million kW enter the programme, the programme will be opened in a second year for other beneficiaries.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n
