{"id":9078,"date":"2023-01-17T14:25:22","date_gmt":"2023-01-17T14:25:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev-espa.summerize.io\/dypa-additional-6500-places-in-the-employment-program-for-the-long-term-unemployed-55-years-old\/"},"modified":"2023-08-25T02:04:42","modified_gmt":"2023-08-25T02:04:42","slug":"dypa-additional-6500-places-in-the-employment-program-for-the-long-term-unemployed-55-years-old","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/espa.io\/en\/dypa-additional-6500-places-in-the-employment-program-for-the-long-term-unemployed-55-years-old\/","title":{"rendered":"DYPA: Additional 6,500 places in the employment program for the long-term unemployed 55+ years old"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/espa.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/dypa-epipleon-6-500-theseis-sto-programma-apasholisis-gia-makrohronia-anergous-55-eton-1024x525.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n<p>In the context of supporting the long-term unemployed and the continuous evaluation of active employment policies, the Board of Directors of the<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dypa.gov.gr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Public Employment Service<\/a><\/strong> &#8211; <strong>DYPA<\/strong> approved a <strong>significant increase in the number of jobs offered in its successful employment program for <a href=\"https:\/\/espa.io\/en\/aid_type\/public-employment-services\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">long-term unemployed persons aged 55-67<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p>The amendment to the programme provides for <strong>An additional 6,500 seats, with a total budget of 117 million euro.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p><strong>The announcement was made by Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis last Friday<\/strong> during a discussion with beneficiaries of the program,<\/p>\n\n<p>The aim of the programme is to recruit people with  <strong>several months (12+ months) of absence from a professional activity, aged 55-67 years<\/strong>, in  <strong>full-time positions<\/strong>. The duration of the programme is  <strong>12 months. <\/strong>however <strong>there is the possibility of extension for another 12 months<\/strong>. The monthly subsidy for salary and social security contributions amounts to <strong>75% up to EUR 750 per month.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p><strong>The programme for the long-term unemployed was launched in September 2017. <\/strong>Until <strong>July 2020<\/strong> coverage was low as <strong>Fewer than 1,500 hires<\/strong>. In July 2020, the programme was strengthened and improved.
