The <strong>Green Generation Fund<\/strong> <strong>invests<\/strong> <strong>exclusively<\/strong> in <strong>sustainable <a href=\"https:\/\/espa.io\/en\/business_type\/new-business\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">start-ups buissneses<\/a><\/strong> that are making significant progress:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>in <a href=\"https:\/\/espa.io\/en\/c\/enviornment\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">reducing CO<sub>2<\/sub> emissions<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>the circular economy<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>the protection of the climate and resources<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/espa.io\/en\/c\/health-medication-social-welfare\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">health promotion<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>biodiversity<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-&#x3C3;&#x3C4;&#x3CC;&#x3C7;&#x3BF;&#x3C2;-&#x3BA;&#x3B1;&#x3B9;-&#x3C7;&#x3C1;&#x3B7;&#x3BC;&#x3B1;&#x3C4;&#x3BF;&#x3B4;&#x3CC;&#x3C4;&#x3B7;&#x3C3;&#x3B7;-&#x3C4;&#x3BF;&#x3C5;-&#x3C0;&#x3C1;&#x3BF;&#x3B3;&#x3C1;&#x3AC;&#x3BC;&#x3BC;&#x3B1;&#x3C4;&#x3BF;&#x3C2;-investeu\"><strong>Objective and funding of the programme<\/strong> <strong>InvestEU<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p><strong>The aim is to strengthen the new <a href=\"https:\/\/espa.io\/en\/c\/food-industry\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">food technology<\/a> and green technology<\/strong> industries and contribute to the reduction of CO<sub>2<\/sub> in the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/espa.io\/en\/c\/agriculture-farmers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">agriculture<\/a><\/strong> and <strong>food<\/strong> sectors.<\/p>\n\n<p>For example, <strong>funding<\/strong> is provided for <strong>the export of vegetable proteins and innovations in fermentation,<\/strong> as well as cell culture. In addition, <strong>solutions<\/strong> are considered for: <\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>reducing the use of preservatives in the food industry<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>more sustainable packaging and <a href=\"https:\/\/espa.io\/en\/c\/supply-chain\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">supply chains<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>solutions for carbon sequestration<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>green technologies software<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p><strong>The EIB investment is one of the first in Germany under the new InvestEU programme.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>. <strong>Paolo Gentiloni<\/strong> stated in this regard: &#8220;<strong>Ensuring the green transition will require sustained investment<\/strong>. This is where InvestEU&#8217;s contribution can be crucial. I am particularly pleased that the new InvestEU program is supporting this EIB investment for <strong>supporting start-ups specializing in green technologies<\/strong>. The<strong> such funding agreement will ensure they have access to funding<\/strong> they need to invest in innovation, expand and create jobs. I hope many more innovators will follow this example.&#8221; <\/p>\n\n<p>The <strong>InvestEU program<\/strong> provides the E.U. <strong>crucial long-term financing, leveraging<\/strong> significant private and public resources to support sustainable recovery. It also contributes <strong>to the mobilization of private investment<\/strong> for EU political priorities, such as the <strong>European Green Deal and the digital transition<\/strong>. The <strong>InvestEU fund<\/strong> is implemented through financial partners who will invest in projects with a guarantee of the EU budget, <strong>amounting to 26.2 billion euro.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>The budget guarantee <strong>will fully support the implementing partners&#8217; investment<\/strong> projects, increase risk-taking capacity and thus <strong>will mobilize at least 372 billion euros in additional investments<\/strong>.
