{"id":8955,"date":"2023-01-11T12:34:27","date_gmt":"2023-01-11T12:34:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev-espa.summerize.io\/ivt-tourism-applications-start-two-new-specialties\/"},"modified":"2023-08-27T05:56:50","modified_gmt":"2023-08-27T05:56:50","slug":"ivt-tourism-applications-start-two-new-specialties","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/espa.io\/en\/ivt-tourism-applications-start-two-new-specialties\/","title":{"rendered":"IVT Tourism: Applications start &#8211; Two new specialties"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/espa.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/iek-tourismou-xekinoun-oi-aitiseis-dyo-nees-eidikotites-1024x512.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n<p>The <strong>online submission of applications<\/strong> for admission to the public <strong>Vocational Training Institutes (IVT) of Tourism<\/strong>, for the <strong>academic year 2022-2023,<\/strong> starts on <strong>Monday, August 22, 2022.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>The applications concern the coverage of <strong>914 positions in the eight public IVT of Tourism in:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Anavyssos Attica<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Perea Thessaloniki<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Heraklion Crete<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Corfu<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Rhodes<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Argos<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Galaxidi<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Alexandroupoli<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>The specialties are: <strong>a) hospitality executive, b) culinary technician &#8211; chef, c) baker &#8211; pastry chef, d) executive of administration and economy <a href=\"https:\/\/espa.io\/en\/c\/tourism-en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">in the field of tourism<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>At the same time, by decision of the Deputy Minister of Tourism in charge of Tourism Education, Sofia Zacharaki,<strong> Two new experimental specialties are established for the first time<\/strong> training at IVT Thessaloniki: <strong>a) for hospitality executives, specializing in the field of room management, b) for travel and tourism executives<\/strong>. With these two new departments, the<strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/mintour.gov.gr\/en\/archiki-english\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Ministry of Tourism<\/a><\/strong> aspires to<strong>Put innovation at the core of tourism education<\/strong>, while the Association of Travel Agencies of Macedonia-Thrace (ETGMTH), the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels (HCH) and the Office for Attracting Conferences and Visitors of the Metropolitan Area of Thessaloniki Thessaloniki Convention Bureau (TCB) contributed with their know-how for the educational, scientific and research support of the project. <strong>All those who hold a General, Technical or Vocational High School Diploma, regardless of age, have the right to apply to public IEK Tourism.<\/strong> They reserve the right to participate and <strong>candidates who completed a parallel computerized form, but did not succeed in their admission to an IEK department.<\/strong>  Applications can only be submitted via the special link on the website:  <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.mintour.edu.gr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">www.mintour.edu.gr<\/a><\/strong>,  <strong>until Sunday, September 11, 2022.<\/strong> The distribution of positions and specialties per IVT, <strong>the terms and conditions<\/strong> admission, as well as credit criteria for candidates <strong>are defined in detail<\/strong> to the admission notice attached.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-&#x3C3;&#x3BF;&#x3C6;&#x3AF;&#x3B1;-&#x3B6;&#x3B1;&#x3C7;&#x3B1;&#x3C1;&#x3AC;&#x3BA;&#x3B7;-&#x3C5;&#x3C6;&#x3C5;&#x3C0;&#x3BF;&#x3C5;&#x3C1;&#x3B3;&#x3CC;&#x3C2;-&#x3C4;&#x3BF;&#x3C5;&#x3C1;&#x3B9;&#x3C3;&#x3BC;&#x3BF;&#x3CD;-&#x3B1;&#x3C1;&#x3BC;&#x3CC;&#x3B4;&#x3B9;&#x3B1;-&#x3B3;&#x3B9;&#x3B1;-&#x3C4;&#x3B7;&#x3BD;-&#x3C4;&#x3BF;&#x3C5;&#x3C1;&#x3B9;&#x3C3;&#x3C4;&#x3B9;&#x3BA;&#x3AE;-&#x3B5;&#x3BA;&#x3C0;&#x3B1;&#x3AF;&#x3B4;&#x3B5;&#x3C5;&#x3C3;&#x3B7;-&#x3C3;&#x3C4;&#x3B1;-&#x3B9;&#x3B5;&#x3BA;-&#x3C4;&#x3BF;&#x3C5;&#x3C1;&#x3B9;&#x3C3;&#x3BC;&#x3BF;&#x3CD;\"><strong>Sofia Zacharaki, Deputy Minister of State for Tourism, responsible for Tourism Education<\/strong> <strong>at the Tourism IEKs<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p>&#8220;At the Ministry of Tourism we attribute a leading role to tourism vocational training, as we firmly believe that <strong>the qualitative upgrade of the Greek tourism experience passes through the high professionalism<\/strong> of the people of Greek tourism. With targeted actions, we put at the core of our initiatives the <strong>qualitative upgrade of public IVT Tourism<\/strong>, based on the real needs of the labor market and giving <strong>our students the necessary skills they need for multiple opportunities<\/strong> and quality jobs in the tourism industry. And we don&#8217;t stop there. We are expanding the curriculum with <strong>two new experimental specialties<\/strong>, with an emphasis on educational and professional innovation. We issue a <strong>new, modern regulation of operation of our IVT<\/strong> and accelerate the procedures for the registration of new students, earlier than any other year. <strong>We have modernized<\/strong>, after eleven years, <strong>the internship of the students of the ministry&#8217;s schools,<\/strong> while faithful to the commitment of the Prime Minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, we are granting <strong>for the first time<\/strong> &#8211; since this academic year &#8211; a <strong>housing allowance to the students of all our IVT.<\/strong> At the same time, we are launching <strong>the establishment of the first public Tourism<\/strong> Academy, as part of the collective effort we are making for the overall reform of tourism education. Because, <strong>tourism is a key pillar of support for the national economy<\/strong>.
