This aid was approved in order to <strong>deal with the problems caused by the Russian invasion of Ukraine.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>The scheme was approved under the State aid Temporary Framework. The <strong>first approved<\/strong> by the Commission on <strong>March 23, 2022<\/strong> and <strong>modified on July 20, 2022<\/strong>. Under the scheme, support will be given in the form of direct grants. The scheme will be addressed to<strong> in companies of all sizes<\/strong>  operating<strong>  in the fur and leather sectors  <\/strong>and which  <strong>are affected by the current crisis<\/strong>. The purpose of the scheme is to: <strong>(i) to ensure sufficient liquidity to eligible enterprises for which the Russian market is an important export destination;(ii) to maintain their financial continuity during the crisis.<\/strong> The Commission found that the Greek scheme is in line with the conditions set out in the Temporary Crisis Framework. particularly: <strong>(i) the amount of individual aid per beneficiary will not exceed the limit of EUR 500 000 provided for in the temporary crisis framework;(ii) the aid will be granted no later than 31 December 2022.<\/strong> The Commission concluded that the<strong>The Greek regime is necessary, appropriate and proportionate<\/strong>  to remedy a serious disturbance in the economy of a Member State, in accordance with Article 107(3)(b) of the Treaty  <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/eur-lex.europa.eu\/EL\/legal-content\/summary\/treaty-on-the-functioning-of-the-european-union.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">TFEU<\/a><\/strong>  and the conditions laid down in the temporary crisis framework. On the basis of the above, the Commission approved the aid measure <strong>in accordance with<\/strong> the EU State aid <strong>rules<\/strong>.
