{"id":8875,"date":"2023-01-09T12:57:14","date_gmt":"2023-01-09T12:57:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev-espa.summerize.io\/venture-fair-new-opportunities-for-the-top-greek-startups\/"},"modified":"2023-08-21T10:30:00","modified_gmt":"2023-08-21T10:30:00","slug":"venture-fair-new-opportunities-for-the-top-greek-startups","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/espa.io\/en\/venture-fair-new-opportunities-for-the-top-greek-startups\/","title":{"rendered":"Venture Fair: New opportunities for the top Greek startups"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/espa.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/venture-fair-nees-eukairies-gia-tis-koryfaies-startups-1024x640.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n<p>Six emerging<strong> Greek startups<\/strong> are preparing to <strong>pitch<\/strong> their <strong>innovative solutions<\/strong> to investors from Greece and around the world through <strong>The Hellenic Initiative&#8217;s (THI) Venture Fair<\/strong> program.<\/p>\n\n<p>The presentations are to take place with physical presence on <strong>11 July<\/strong>, in Athens.<\/p>\n\n<p>The <strong>6<\/strong><strong>th<\/strong> <strong>annual Venture Fair<\/strong> is the core of the events, within the framework of <strong>ATHINA2022<\/strong>, during which the <strong>10th anniversary<\/strong> of THI will be celebrated, with the presence of the most dynamic <strong>Startups<\/strong> and charitable organizations in Greece.<\/p>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-&#x3BF;&#x3B9;-startups-&#x3C0;&#x3BF;&#x3C5;-&#x3C0;&#x3C1;&#x3BF;&#x3AD;&#x3C1;&#x3C7;&#x3BF;&#x3BD;&#x3C4;&#x3B1;&#x3B9;-&#x3B1;&#x3C0;&#x3CC;-&#x3C4;&#x3BF;-&#x3B5;&#x3B3;&#x3C7;&#x3CE;&#x3C1;&#x3B9;&#x3BF;-&#x3BF;&#x3B9;&#x3BA;&#x3BF;&#x3C3;&#x3CD;&#x3C3;&#x3C4;&#x3B7;&#x3BC;&#x3B1;-&#x3B5;&#x3AF;&#x3BD;&#x3B1;&#x3B9;-&#x3BF;&#x3B9;\"><strong>The startups that come from the domestic ecosystem are:<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bespot.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Bespot<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bibecoffee.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Bibecoffee<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.myfeel.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Feel Therapeutics<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.inaccel.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">InAccel<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.meazon.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Meazon<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.moptil.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Moptil<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.morphoses.io\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Morphoses<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.pobuca.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Pobuca<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.superbo.ai\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Superbo<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.100mentors.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">100mentors<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p><strong>Venture Fair<\/strong> is an <strong>&#8220;American-style&#8221;<\/strong> pitching to interested <strong>international and domestic investors.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>The aim of the programme is to attract <strong>capital to Greece<\/strong> and boost growth. Since <strong>2015<\/strong>, it offers a unique opportunity to young Greek entrepreneurs who wish to <strong>raise capital<\/strong> for their companies.<\/p>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-&#x3CC;&#x3C3;&#x3B5;&#x3C2;-&#x3B5;&#x3C0;&#x3B9;&#x3BB;&#x3AD;&#x3B3;&#x3BF;&#x3BD;&#x3C4;&#x3B1;&#x3B9;-&#x3C0;&#x3C1;&#x3BF;&#x3B5;&#x3C4;&#x3BF;&#x3B9;&#x3BC;&#x3AC;&#x3B6;&#x3BF;&#x3BD;&#x3C4;&#x3B1;&#x3B9;-&#x3BA;&#x3B1;&#x3C4;&#x3AC;&#x3BB;&#x3BB;&#x3B7;&#x3BB;&#x3B1;-&#x3B1;&#x3C0;&#x3CC;-&#x3C4;&#x3BF;&#x3C5;&#x3C2;-&#x3C3;&#x3C5;&#x3BC;&#x3B2;&#x3BF;&#x3CD;&#x3BB;&#x3BF;&#x3C5;&#x3C2;-&#x3C4;&#x3B7;&#x3C2;-&#x3C4;&#x3B7;&#x3B9;\"><strong>Those selected are properly prepared by THI&#8217;s consultants.<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n<p><strong>The <a href=\"https:\/\/espa.io\/en\/business_type\/new-business\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">start-ups<\/a><\/strong> selected this year by THI represent <strong>some of the most promising startups in Greece<\/strong>. These aim to <strong>raise<\/strong> funding<strong> 2-5 million euro.<\/strong> They are already preparing intensively to present their ideas, visions, and business plans on July 11th.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-george-p-stamas-thi-board-president\"><strong>George P. Stamas, THI Board President <\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p>&#8220;Venture Fair 2022 is the perfect way to celebrate the 10th anniversary of THI, focusing on both the extremely talented young people in Greece and the members of the THI family, who will act with dedication as mentors, guiding them towards success.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>THI<\/strong> is a global<strong>, non-profit organization<\/strong> that <strong>unites diaspora Greeks and philhellenes<\/strong> to invest in Greece&#8217;s future through programs that focus on economic growth and tackling the crisis. The best advertisement for the success of THI&#8217;s efforts is the media reports on the achievements of the <strong>s<\/strong><strong>tartups<\/strong> supported so far by the <strong>Venture Fair<\/strong>. Blueground, introduced at the 2016 <strong>THI<\/strong>, is on its way to becoming a unicorn. Shortly after its presentation, at the <strong>4<\/strong><strong>th<\/strong> <strong>Venture Fair<\/strong> of 2018, <strong>Think Silicon<\/strong> was acquired by <strong>Applied Materials.<\/strong> A few months ago, <strong>Spotawheel<\/strong>, featured at the 2016 Vanity Fair, &#8220;raised&#8221; $100 million. in order to expand its activities in the second-hand car market.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-&#x3C4;&#x3BF;-&#x3C0;&#x3C1;&#x3CC;&#x3B3;&#x3C1;&#x3B1;&#x3BC;&#x3BC;&#x3B1;-&#x3C4;&#x3B7;&#x3C2;-&#x3B5;&#x3BA;&#x3B4;&#x3AE;&#x3BB;&#x3C9;&#x3C3;&#x3B7;&#x3C2;-venture-fair-&#x3B3;&#x3B9;&#x3B1;-&#x3C4;&#x3B9;&#x3C2;-startups\"><strong>The programme of the event<\/strong> <strong>Venture Fair<\/strong> <strong>for startups<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p>The evening of On <strong>July<\/strong> <strong>11<\/strong><strong>th<\/strong>, <strong>THI<\/strong> will host a <strong>cocktail reception<\/strong> at the <strong>Zappeion Megaron<\/strong> for the friends, participants and supporters of the wider &#8220;THI family&#8221;, members of the Greek Diaspora from the USA and around the world, as well as for senior executives of the most important Greek businesses. <strong>Guests will also meet participants at the Venture Fair 2022, as well as laureates of past events. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>On July 12, THI&#8217;s new <strong>Plant a Tree<\/strong> program organizes a morning volunteer event. Participants will climb Mount Hymettus to take care of the more than 2,200 trees planted by THI last May. Action taken as part of the ongoing campaign to reforest the areas affected by the 2021 fires and to improve the quality of life.<\/p>\n\n<p>Then, the members of the Board of Directors of THI will attend a luncheon hosted in their honor by the U.S. Ambassador to Greece, George Tsunis, at the ambassadorial residence. The two-day program of events will end on the evening of July 12, with the first Athens New Leader cocktail, with guests of THI the dynamic New Leaders, young professionals <strong>25-40<\/strong> years old.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-tina-courpas-thi-s-executive-director\"><strong>Tina Courpas, THI\u2019s Executive Director <\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p>&#8220;The global community of the Diaspora is particularly interested and ready to support those who, through innovation and entrepreneurship, are shaping the new Greece.
