At the same time to <strong>work<\/strong> in one of the leading companies in Greece.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>The program<\/strong> &#8220;<strong>Engineers in Practice<\/strong>&#8221; <strong>has a duration of one year<\/strong> and offers <strong>high-level work experience<\/strong>, with apprenticeships in real conditions and projects. Engineers, depending on their specialty, are employed in projects of the Company&#8217;s Business Units:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/espa.io\/en\/c\/mines-mining-quarring\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Metallurgy<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/espa.io\/en\/c\/energy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Electricity<\/a> &amp; Natural Gas<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Sustainable Development Projects and Renewable Energy Sources &amp; Storage Development)<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Central Services and Operations<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>From the beginning of the program in 2014 until today, <strong>109 young &#8220;Engineers in Practice&#8221; have participated<\/strong>. The company&#8217;s goal remains to make the program a <strong>point of reference<\/strong> for <strong>graduates of polytechnic schools<\/strong> starting their work careers.<\/p>\n\n<p>In the <strong>5th cycle of the program<\/strong> that started in November 2021 and is in progress, <strong>48 engineers<\/strong> joined. It is <strong>the largest number of engineers<\/strong> who joined the program to date.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Linking education to the labour market<\/strong> is a <strong>complex process<\/strong>. Especially today, when there is a <strong>shortage of skilled workers,<\/strong> despite the many opportunities created by the recovery of the Greek economy. One of the factors leading to this result is the failure to match <strong>the skills of prospective<\/strong> employees <strong>with the needs of modern entrepreneurship.<\/strong> Also secondarily the <strong>brain drain.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>In this context, the &#8220;Engineers in Action&#8221; Program comes <strong>to meet this need,<\/strong> highlighting the importance of paid internship programs. The General Manager of Human Resources of Mytilineos Sara Fideli stated on the occasion of the opening of the 6<sup>th<\/sup> cycle: &#8220;We are very proud to revive the institution of apprenticeship <strong>in real working conditions.<\/strong> The work experience gained by the participants emphasizes both the acquisition of hard and soft skills. The <strong>high absorption<\/strong> in the labor market justifies our choice&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n<p>Applications for the <sup>6th<\/sup> cycle of the<strong>Engineers in Action<\/strong>Programme are now open and applicants can submit their CVs <strong>until Sunday 31 July<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-&#x3C4;&#x3B1;-&#x3BA;&#x3C1;&#x3B9;&#x3C4;&#x3AE;&#x3C1;&#x3B9;&#x3B1;-&#x3B5;&#x3C0;&#x3B9;&#x3BB;&#x3BF;&#x3B3;&#x3AE;&#x3C2;-&#x3B1;&#x3C0;&#x3CC;-&#x3C4;&#x3B7;&#x3BD;-mytilineos\"><strong>The selection criteria<\/strong> <strong>by Mytilineos<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p>Candidates must meet the following criteria:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Degree from Polytechnic Schools in Greece or abroad such as Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Mining \/ Metallurgical or Civil Engineers<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Excellent knowledge of both Greek and English<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Excellent computer skills (Windows, MS Office)<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Work experience of less than 3 years<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Ability to relocate to areas of Greece where Mytilineos operates<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Fulfilled military obligations, for male candidates<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Master&#8217;s degree \/ MBA (desirable)<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>The selection process of the candidates includes, among other things, <strong>psychometric tests in electronic form<\/strong>, interviews with representatives of the Human Resources team, as well as participation in the Simulation Center.<\/p>\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/calendly.com\/randevou-espa-news\/15min?month=2022-03\"><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Mytilineos&#8217; successful paid internship program &#8220;Engineers in Action&#8221; reaches its sixth cycle.
