In this way, the Commission wants to set <strong>a good example in the fight against the culture of late payments<\/strong> in the business environment.<\/p>\n\n<p>Between 2010 and 2020, <strong>Greece has introduced a rule providing for the immediate payment of long-term debts of public hospitals to their private suppliers<\/strong> provided that <strong>such suppliers waive their rights to interest, damages and remedies.<\/strong> According to the Commission,<strong> such regulation constitutes a breach of Union rules<\/strong> as interpreted by the Court of Justice of the European Union, in particular in its judgment in Case C-555\/14.
