{"id":8515,"date":"2022-12-21T10:33:32","date_gmt":"2022-12-21T10:33:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev-espa.summerize.io\/velocity-partners-equifunds-new-vc\/"},"modified":"2023-08-24T08:12:27","modified_gmt":"2023-08-24T08:12:27","slug":"velocity-partners-equifunds-new-vc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/espa.io\/en\/velocity-partners-equifunds-new-vc\/","title":{"rendered":"Velocity Partners: Equifund&#8217;s new VC"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/espa.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/velocity-partners-to-neo-vc-tou-equifund-me-ependuseis-eos-400-000-euro-1024x538.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n<p>The image of <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/equifund.gr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Equifund<\/a><\/strong> is slowly being completed with <strong>Velocity Partners<\/strong>, one of the two new VCs getting approval from the <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.eif.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">European Investment Fund<\/a><\/strong> (EIF) and being released.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-velocity-partners\"><strong>Velocity Partners<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p><strong>Velocity Partners<\/strong> will manage \u20ac24 million. and will focus on <strong>Pre-Seed and Seed investments<\/strong>. In addition to the EIF, the main financier is Eurobank and other Greek market groups from various sectors.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Velocity Partners<\/strong>&#8216; funders \u2013 partners will offer know-how and support to <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/espa.io\/en\/business_type\/new-business\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">new companies<\/a><\/strong> by guiding them on the needs, challenges and opportunities for innovation in their workplaces. They will thus offer scope for development and experimentation as well as market access where appropriate.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong> Velocity Partners<\/strong> will invest<strong> 75.000\u20ac to 150.000\u20ac in Pre-Seed Startups and 200.000\u20ac to 400.000\u20ac in Seed<\/strong>. However, it will continue to invest in subsequent rounds.<\/p>\n\n<p>As its executives said:<\/p>\n\n<p>&#8220;The vision of the fund is to be recorded in the Greek and international market as the given starting point and the force multiplier for the most innovative and successful Greek companies. The aim is to strengthen teams of ambitious and exceptional founders who will produce innovative products of truly global scope in markets and sectors of activity with fast and great growth potential, taking advantage of the comparative advantages offered by Greece as a start-up market&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n<p>The team consists of:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Konstantinos Mavros, with international experience in the financial, energy and infrastructure sectors<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Dimitris Kalavros-Gousiou, co-founder of Found.Ation and TEDxAthens<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Eric Parks, former executive of international advertising groups and active Angel Investor<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Achilleas Petropoulos, with many years of presence in large companies and experience as an investment advisor<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The image of Equifund is slowly being completed with Velocity Partners, one of the two new VCs getting approval from the European Investment Fund (EIF) and being released.
