At 21 billion euros<\/strong> approximately identify the Community resources that our country will receive in the next programming period 2021-2027,<\/strong> under the new NSRF.<\/strong> This was pointed out by the Vice-President of the European Commission, Margaritis Schinas, speaking at the National Development Conference about the new NSRF 2021-2027<\/strong>, referring to “An increase of \u20ac5 billion. or 8% compared to the current period.”<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

At the opening of the conference, Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis<\/strong> called for “more EU resources to support the European Commission’s new initiatives to tackle climate change and migration”. The initiatives set by the EU for the transition to a green economy require, as he said, additional resources “and this must be understood by countries that are in favor of an ambitious policy, but are sparing in funds”.<\/p>\n\n

New NSRF 2021-2027 funds<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n

According to the proposal of the European Commission, in our country for the NSRF 2021-2027<\/strong> are allocated 19,2 billion \u03b5\u03c5\u03c1\u03ce \u03b5\u0301\u03bd\u03b1\u03bd\u03c4\u03b9 17,8 billion euros<\/strong> for the NSRF 2014-2020<\/strong>, i.e. an increase in cohesion policy resources \u03ba\u03b1\u03c4\u03b1\u0301 1,4 billion \u03b5\u03c5\u03c1\u03ce (+8%)<\/strong> in relation to the current financial period. To these resources should be added funds claimed by Greece from the \n Fair Transition Fund<\/a>\n<\/strong>, which will finance the support of lignite areas. Final decisions on the final allocation of structural funds will be taken under the German Presidency in the second half of 2020<\/strong> And, regardless of where the exact amount closes, the key feature of the new programme is that it will not fund projects for investments in solid fuels, such as natural gas, and projects for solid waste management.<\/p>\n\n

These new data make it imperative to promote waste management projects in the current NSRF 2014-2020<\/strong>, expiring in 2023 .<\/strong>Speaking at the same conference , Commissioner for Cohesion and Reforms, Elisa Ferreira,<\/strong> criticised, noting that too many targets have not been achieved on the issue of waste, on the issue of sustainable transport systems and on the issue of access to high-speed Internet. The Commissioner called on the government in the new period to rethink procedures and structures and, where there is a real failure, to take a different approach.<\/p>\n\n

Key objectives are the immediate use of new technologies, the creation of a better digital environment for citizens and businesses and healthy entrepreneurship<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n

The Deputy Minister of Development and Investments<\/a>, Yannis Tsakiris,<\/strong> He outlined the government’s main objectives, which are, as he said, the immediate use of new technologies and the creating a better digital environment<\/a><\/strong> for the citizens and businesses<\/strong>, healthy entrepreneurship by strengthening the innovative capacity of SMEs, as well as facilitating access to finance and broadening the range of financial instruments.
