The awards<\/strong> ceremony at the 1st<\/sup> Start-up Entrepreneurship Competition<\/strong>, where the registered start-ups<\/a> of Elevate Greece<\/strong> participated, was completed at the Thessaloniki International Fair<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

In the presence of the Prime Minister<\/strong> Mr.Kyriakos Mitsotakis<\/strong>, who also awarded the first prize to the “Start-up of the Year”,<\/strong> of the Minister of Development and Investments, Mr. Adonis Georgiadis<\/strong>, by the Deputy Minister, Mr. Nikos Papathanasis<\/strong> and the Deputy Minister, Mr. Yannis Tsakiris<\/strong>, the competent Deputy Minister of Development and Investments and Member of Parliament for Corinthia, Mr. Christos Dimas<\/strong>, presented and analyzed the first statistical data and analytical data that are now recorded for the start-up ecosystem, 11 months after its creation and operation National Register of Start-ups <\/strong>Elevate<\/strong> Greece<\/strong> .<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

To date, 451<\/strong> start-ups<\/strong>, employing more than 4,380 employees,<\/strong> have completed their registration<\/strong> in the Register.<\/p>\n\n

The state has through the platform a clear<\/strong> and mapped<\/strong> picture of the innovation ecosystem<\/strong>. It has for the first time the ability to design policies tailored to the specific needs of the start-up ecosystem.<\/p>\n\n

Elevate Greece<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n

The Elevate Greece<\/strong> is now an essential tool through which the state provides specialized incentives<\/strong> for start-ups such as tax deductions for angel investors,<\/strong> a modern tax framework for<\/strong> stock options<\/strong>, and even the first NSRF<\/strong> action to enhance their liquidity in the face of the Covid-19 crisis.<\/p>\n\n

The National Register of Start-ups<\/strong><\/a> is flanked by a significant network of Official Supporters<\/strong> active in the field of innovation<\/strong>, investment<\/strong> and entrepreneurship<\/strong>, including banks, multinational companies, Greek businesses and institutional supporters.<\/p>\n\n

250<\/strong> companies registered in Elevate Greece<\/strong> applied to participate in the 1st<\/sup> Young Entrepreneurship Competition. The 10 winning businesses were awarded with cash prizes totalling \u20ac252,000<\/strong> as well as services from all the Official Supporters of Elevate Greece<\/strong> exceeding \u20ac200,000<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

  4. “Social Contribution”<\/strong> | “ORama<\/strong> VR”<\/strong> (Applications of Medical Educational Virtual Reality Simulations)<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. ‘Environmental Impact’<\/strong> | “Augmenta<\/strong> Agriculture<\/strong> Technologies”<\/strong> (Agrotechnology\/ Agri-food)<\/strong> <\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
