{"id":7918,"date":"2022-11-29T10:18:09","date_gmt":"2022-11-29T10:18:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev-espa.summerize.io\/oaed-seven-experimental-epas-apprenticeships-in-the-tourism-industry\/"},"modified":"2023-08-23T10:32:32","modified_gmt":"2023-08-23T10:32:32","slug":"oaed-seven-experimental-epas-apprenticeships-in-the-tourism-industry","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/espa.io\/en\/oaed-seven-experimental-epas-apprenticeships-in-the-tourism-industry\/","title":{"rendered":"OAED: Seven Experimental EPAS Apprenticeships in the tourism industry"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/espa.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/oaed-epta-epas-mathitias-ston-klado-tourismou-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n<p>A Memorandum of Cooperation was signed on Friday 24 September 2021, by the<strong> Employment Agency of Labour Resources (OAED),<\/strong> the <strong>\n  <a href=\"https:\/\/griechenland.ahk.de\/gr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Hellenic-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry<\/a>\n<\/strong> and the <strong>\n  <a href=\"https:\/\/insete.gr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Institute of the Association of Greek Tourism Enterprises<\/a>\n  <a href=\"https:\/\/insete.gr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">\u03c1<\/a>\n  <a href=\"https:\/\/insete.gr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">\u03ae\u03c3\u03b5\u03c9\u03bd<\/a>\n<\/strong>, for seven <strong>Experimental Vocational Schools (EPAS) Apprenticeship of the OAED<\/strong> <strong>in the <a href=\"https:\/\/espa.io\/en\/c\/tourism-en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">tourism and hospitality sector<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p>The purpose of the Memorandum of Understanding is <strong>the implementation of curricula that meet the needs of businesses in the tourism industry.<\/strong> At the same time, the adoption of best practices and the enhancement of quality vocational education. <strong>The EPAS Experimental Projects aim to create a competitive advantage for businesses, apprentices and the educational community<\/strong>, through cooperation with institutions and social partners for the design and closer interconnection of programs with the needs of the economy.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-&#x3C4;&#x3B1;-&#x3B2;&#x3B1;&#x3C3;&#x3B9;&#x3BA;&#x3CC;&#x3C4;&#x3B5;&#x3C1;&#x3B1;-&#x3C3;&#x3B7;&#x3BC;&#x3B5;&#x3AF;&#x3B1;-&#x3C3;&#x3C7;&#x3B5;&#x3C4;&#x3B9;&#x3BA;&#x3AC;-&#x3BC;&#x3B5;-&#x3C4;&#x3B7;-&#x3BB;&#x3B5;&#x3B9;&#x3C4;&#x3BF;&#x3C5;&#x3C1;&#x3B3;&#x3AF;&#x3B1;-&#x3C3;&#x3C4;&#x3BF;-&#x3BA;&#x3BB;&#x3AC;&#x3B4;&#x3BF;-&#x3C4;&#x3C9;&#x3BD;-&#x3C0;&#x3B5;&#x3B9;&#x3C1;&#x3B1;&#x3BC;&#x3B1;&#x3C4;&#x3B9;&#x3BA;&#x3CE;&#x3BD;-&#x3B5;&#x3C0;&#x3B1;&#x3B3;&#x3B3;&#x3B5;&#x3BB;&#x3BC;&#x3B1;&#x3C4;&#x3B9;&#x3BA;&#x3CE;&#x3BD;-&#x3C3;&#x3C7;&#x3BF;&#x3BB;&#x3CE;&#x3BD;-&#x3BF;&#x3B1;&#x3B5;&#x3B4;\"><strong>The main points concerning the operation in the sector of Experimental Vocational Schools<\/strong> <strong>OAED<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Studies are two-year courses.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>They are addressed to young people from 18 to 25 years old, who have completed at least compulsory education and have a B2 level English, French or German degree.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>They concern the specialties of Culinary Art Technician, Food Technician and Customer Service Employee of Tourism Enterprises.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The Experimental EPAS will operate in Athens, Thessaloniki, Corfu, Crete, Mytilene, Patras and Rhodes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>They will implement the dual system of education that combines theoretical and laboratory training with Apprenticeship (learning in the workplace with pay and insurance) in companies.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The theoretical part will be implemented in the Schools, from November to April.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The Apprenticeship will take place in businesses and will take place from May to October.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The cooperation of the three institutions guarantees the placement of all apprentices in apprenticeships, in distinguished enterprises of the tourism industry (4 and 5 star hotels).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>All three institutions will ensure the vocational rehabilitation of apprentices after completing their studies.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Registrations will start in October.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The theoretical courses will start in November.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>It is noted that<strong>during the years 2013\/17 the OAED and the Greek-German Chamber participated and successfully implemented the pilot program of vocational education and training MENDI<\/strong>, where two then Experimental EPAS (Alimos and Heraklion, Crete) specialties in the tourism sector operated, with the theoretical courses taking place during the winter months (November &#8211; April) and the apprenticeship &#8220;Learning program in the workplace&#8221; during the summer months (May &#8211; October).
