The extension of the application period for the largest innovation competition in the \n in the agri-food sector<\/a>\n<\/strong>, Trophy – Trophy Challenge<\/strong>, announced the “New Georgia New Generation<\/strong>” organisation. The competition will be held for the third consecutive year<\/strong> with the aim of rewarding innovative start-ups<\/a><\/strong> and business ideas even at an early stage, who develop commercial and business solutions in the fields of agro-technology and agri-food.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

After the increased interest observed and to facilitate the large number of participations that offer solutions to the challenges of the modern agri-food ecosystem, the possibility of submitting applications is extended until 03\/10\/2021.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

The competition offers the distinguished participants opportunities to network with important actors of the Greek and international innovation ecosystem, personalized support according to their needs, access to financial tools as well as cash prizes totaling 23,000 euros.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

Interested parties can find out about the eligibility requirements and submit their applications online on the website: \n www.trophychallenge.gr<\/strong>\n<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n

Categories<\/strong> of Trophy – Food Challenge<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n

There are three categories of competition, in which interested parties can submit their participation:<\/p>\n\n

    \n
  • Agri-Tech, for business proposals related to the primary sector and production and have developed a prototype<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Food-Tech, for business proposals related to food processing and quality and have developed a prototype<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Agrologistics, for business ideas related to the supply chain of agri-food products.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n

    The proposals will initially be checked by the Organizing Committee for their eligibility. They will then be evaluated by the Audit Committee in terms of their innovation, sustainability and applicability.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

    The up to 25 finalists who will submit the most innovative and sustainable proposals will participate in a special two-day bootcamp.<\/strong> There they will receive guidance from experts in the field, in order to present their ideas to the Evaluation Committee, during the final phase of the Competition.<\/p>\n\n

    It is noted that the Trophy – Food Challenge 2021<\/strong> will be held online through the specially designed online platform of the organization “Cultivate”<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

    The Trophy – Food Challenge<\/strong> competition was launched in 2019 and to date has supported 67 startups <\/strong>. At the same time, the 8 winning teams of the previous rounds received cash prizes worth a total of \u20ac47,000<\/strong>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
