Aim to expand and intensify their efforts in the axes of innovation and economic development.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Starting from 2022, E.K.E.F.E. &#8220;Demokritos&#8221; will host the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.acg.edu\/news-events\/news\/acg-and-ncsr-demokritos-join-forces-for-a-new-innovation-hub\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">ACG Innovation Hub@Demokritos.<\/a><\/strong> <strong>It will be a breeding ground for <a href=\"https:\/\/espa.io\/en\/business_type\/new-business\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">startups<\/a>, venture capitalists, research partnerships, and other aspects of innovation.<\/strong> In an extensive Memorandum of Cooperation between the two institutions, which was signed in July 2021, the E.K.E.F.E. &#8220;Demokritos&#8221; and the American College of Greece agreed to cooperate in other fields as well. <strong>For example in research work, as well as in exchange of researchers\/academic staff, between the two institutions. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>The President of the <strong>H.C.E.E.F.E<\/strong>.. &#8220;Democritus&#8221; Dr. George Nounesis said: &#8220;The Democritus ecosystem offers space and encouragement for innovation at the startup level and beyond, hosting companies ranging from spin-offs to Tesla&#8217;s R&amp;D department. We are very happy to welcome the American College of Greece as a partner in this new venture. <strong>A project that will further expand the influence of &#8220;Democritos&#8221; in innovation and the support of entrepreneurship&#8221;.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>For his part, the president of the American College of Greece, Dr. David G. Horner, noted the following: &#8220;The E.K.E.F.E. &#8220;Demokritos&#8221; and the American College of Greece have been neighbors in Agia Paraskevi for many years. <strong>This agreement echoes not only the geographical proximity but also the similarities in our institutional goals<\/strong> to promote research and innovation, as well as our commitment to promoting economic development in Greece.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>The ACG Innovation Hub@Demokritos is expected to start operations from spring 2022.<\/strong> It will be under the direction of the Research, Technology &amp; Innovation Network (RTIN) of the American College of Greece.<\/p>\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.espa.io\/epidotisi\/forma-epikoinonias-e-shop\/\"><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Their forces are joined by the National Center for Natural Sciences Research (EKEFE) &#8220;Demokritos&#8221; (Innovation Hub) and the American College of Greece.
