The platform is open for interested parties who want to apply for participation in VentureGarden Athens<\/strong>. An accelerator of early stage business ideas<\/strong> (idea accelerator).<\/p>\n\n

The program is provided free<\/strong> of charge by the Alba Graduate Business School, The American College of Greece<\/a> and is implemented by the Alba Hub for Entrepreneurship and Development<\/a> (AHEAD)<\/strong>, Alba’s entrepreneurship center. Alba implements VentureGarden in Southern Greece<\/strong>. In parallel with Athens, it organizes the VentureGarden Heraklion<\/strong> to empower entrepreneurs<\/strong> in the wider area of Crete<\/strong> and complementary actions in other areas.<\/p>\n\n

Those interested in the new cycle of VentureGarden Athens<\/strong> are invited to complete their application by 13 February 2022<\/strong>, when the application process will be completed. The number of places is limited<\/strong> and an evaluation process will follow to select the applicants.<\/p>\n\n

Who it is aimed at<\/strong> VentureGarden<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n

It is aimed at people with vision and dedication<\/strong>, who aspire to join the business ecosystem<\/strong> by starting their own business<\/a><\/strong> or growing their already existing<\/a><\/strong> company.<\/p>\n\n

VentureGarden<\/strong> emphasizes the person rather than the idea<\/strong>, as both the idea<\/strong> and the business environment<\/strong> are constantly changing. Participants are encouraged to learn to leverage tools<\/strong> that can be applied to any idea they are inspired by. Program participants<\/strong> who want to implement their idea immediately they can based on the preparation<\/strong> they have done at VentureGarden to join incubators<\/strong>, to seek funding<\/strong> or to seek support from other ecosystem actors.<\/strong> It is worth noting that in recent research among program graduates<\/strong> in Athens and Heraklion recorded 135 new jobs<\/strong> and funding of 2,568,000 euros since 2014<\/strong>. 99% of program participants<\/strong> say they would recommend the program<\/strong> to friends and acquaintances.<\/p>\n\n

Free participation<\/strong> in the program is ensured<\/strong> by its supporters.<\/strong> The founding national donor is The Hellenic Initiative.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

The programme<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n

The VentureGarden<\/strong> starts with an intensive training<\/strong> to develop business ideas duration of 5 weeks.<\/strong> After completing the training a choice is<\/strong> made of<\/strong> the participants who will continue with mentoring lasting 3 months<\/strong>. The program is implemented in Greek<\/strong>. It will be held electronically<\/strong> with a limited physical presence at the premises<\/strong> of the Alba Graduate Business School, if conditions permit<\/strong>. For the best possible participant experience, modern and asynchronous training and collaboration tools will be leveraged.<\/p>\n\n

Already since the start of the program in February 2014<\/strong>, have been submitted for VentureGarden Athens more than 1,508 applications for participation.<\/strong> From these 413 were<\/strong> selected to attend the previous cycles of the program in Athens.<\/strong> During the 16 cycles that have been implemented,<\/strong> the participants attended a total of 468 hours of lessons.<\/strong> 130 lecturers and mentors<\/strong> have offered participants support. Empowering them to turn their entrepreneurial creativity into tangible results.<\/strong> To date, more than<\/strong> 1,930 hours of supportive mentoring<\/strong> have been provided to VentureGarden participants.<\/p>\n\n
