A new study shows that <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/espa.io\/category_of_beneficiary\/epixiriseis-epidotisi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">companies<\/a><\/strong> today have not installed <strong>security solutions<\/strong> that will <strong>guarantee<\/strong> remote workers the <strong>best possible connectivity and security.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Organizations<\/strong> have not installed security solutions that ensure the best <strong>possible connectivity and security<\/strong>. &#8220;As <strong>the threat landscape evolves<\/strong> and cyberattacks become more and more sophisticated, <strong>many organizations<\/strong> surprisingly have not implemented security solutions tha<strong>t ensure the best possible connectivity<\/strong> and <strong>security<\/strong> for r<strong>emotely working employees,&#8221;<\/strong> a survey by Check Point Software finds.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-&#x3C4;&#x3B7;&#x3BB;&#x3B5;&#x3C1;&#x3B3;&#x3B1;&#x3C3;&#x3AF;&#x3B1;-&#x3C0;&#x3AD;&#x3BD;&#x3C4;&#x3B5;-&#x3BA;&#x3C1;&#x3AF;&#x3C3;&#x3B9;&#x3BC;&#x3B5;&#x3C2;-&#x3BB;&#x3CD;&#x3C3;&#x3B5;&#x3B9;&#x3C2;\"><strong>Teleworking: five critical solutions<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p>According to the company, there are <strong>five critical security solutions,<\/strong> needed to <strong>protect remote users from Internet-based attacks.<\/strong> These include:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>URL filtering<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>URL reputation<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>hibernation and reconstruction of content<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Zero phishing<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>credential protection<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>However, <strong>only 9% of the organizations,<\/strong> which participated in the survey, <strong>It uses all five protections. 11% do not use any of the listed methods<\/strong> to secure remote access to enterprise applications.<\/p>\n\n<p>The research identifies some <strong>significant security gaps<\/strong> in remote access. For example, <strong>70% of organizations<\/strong> allow <strong>access to enterprise applications<\/strong> from personal devices. Only <strong>5%<\/strong> of respondents reported using <strong>all recommended remote access security methods<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p>Meanwhile, <strong>20%<\/strong> of respondents answered that they <strong>do not use any of the five<\/strong> <strong>methods<\/strong> to protect remote users while browsing the Internet.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-&#x3AD;&#x3BB;&#x3BB;&#x3B5;&#x3B9;&#x3C8;&#x3B7;-&#x3C0;&#x3C1;&#x3BF;&#x3C3;&#x3C4;&#x3B1;&#x3C3;&#x3AF;&#x3B1;&#x3C2;\"><strong>Lack of protection<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p>The research identified a <strong>lack of ransomware protection<\/strong> among businesses. <strong>26%<\/strong> of respondents <strong>don&#8217;t have an endpoint solution<\/strong> that can <strong>automatically detect and stop ransomware attacks.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p><strong>31% don&#8217;t use any of the reported methods<\/strong> to <strong>prevent sensitive business data<\/strong> from <strong>leaking<\/strong> out of the organization.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>The security of email and mobile phones<\/strong> is another security gap. Today, <strong>only 12%<\/strong> of organizations that enable enterprise access from mobile devices <strong>use a solution to defend<\/strong> <strong>against mobile threats.<\/strong> This highlights how exposed organizations are to <strong>rapidly evolving 5th generation cyberattacks<\/strong> <strong>targeting teleworkers<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p>Overall in 2021, researchers saw <strong>50% more attacks per week<\/strong> on corporate networks. &#8220;As cyberattacks <strong>become more sophisticated<\/strong> and take advantage of the remote work environment, businesses need a <strong>unified cybersecurity solution.<\/strong> This will <strong>strengthen their defenses<\/strong> and <strong>improve their agility<\/strong> against attacks,&#8221; says Check Point.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-&#x3B7;-&#x3AD;&#x3C1;&#x3B5;&#x3C5;&#x3BD;&#x3B1;\"><strong>The research<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p>The survey was conducted among 1,200 IT security professionals worldwide. <strong>It<\/strong> <strong>examines<\/strong> how the <strong>shift to teleworking<\/strong> has changed organizations&#8217; <strong>safety practices<\/strong> for:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>the users<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>devices<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>access<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.espa.io\/epidotisi\/forma-epikoinonias-e-shop\/\"><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Teleworking creates a gap in the security practices of businesses around the world.
