Subsidies 180 million euros to replace old electrical appliances<\/strong> with modern and conventional electric and hybrid vehicles<\/strong> come in the “heart of spring”. These are two separate programmes with subsidies<\/strong>. Minister of Environment and Energ<\/a><\/strong>y Costas Skrekas referred to these and gave more details<\/strong> during his speech in the debate held in the Parliament, on the occasion of the motion of no confidence submitted by SYRIZA against the government.<\/p>\n\n

Subsidies for the<\/strong> Electrical appliances<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n

Regarding the action for the acquisition of new efficient electrical devices<\/strong>, this, according to the minister, will concern refrigerators and air conditioners<\/strong>. Kostas Skrekas also informed the Parliament that the specific program will concern about 200,000 households<\/strong>. Its height should be sought to rise to 100 mill. euro.<\/strong> The ministry is in the process of finding the relevant funds from the NSRF<\/strong>. Other sources report that the leadership of the Ministry of Environment and Energy<\/strong> has not reached a conclusion on whether income criteria<\/strong> will be established for the participation of domestic consumers<\/strong> in this action. There are also opinions that want the program<\/strong> to be open to all citizens.<\/strong> It is recalled that this is aimed at replacing old air conditioners and refrigerators<\/strong> that “burn” a lot of electricity. The replacement will be made new appliances of higher energy class, aiming to save energy<\/a>.<\/strong> The rate of the subsidy<\/strong> is expected to range between 30% or 40% of the cost of<\/strong> the purchase of a new electrical appliance<\/strong>. The scheme is due to be announced in the first half of the year<\/strong> with reports suggesting spring is more likely.<\/p>\n\n

Electric cars and commercial vehicles<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n

Kostas Skrekas in the Parliament also spoke about the other popular program<\/strong> “Move Electric”<\/strong>. As he has announced, the second cycle is expected to open in April.<\/strong> The action aims to replace cars and commercial vehicles<\/strong> of conventional technology with the purchase of new electric and hybrid ones. During his speech he announced that the amount of the subsidy will be increased by 30%<\/strong> compared to that of the previous cycle. His announcement confirms previous reports. According to them, the maximum limit of the new aid will be 8,000 euros from 6,000 euros<\/strong> that was set in the previous cycle. “Moving Electric II” is estimated to have a budget of 40 million. euro.<\/strong> It will concern, as mentioned above, the strengthening of natural<\/strong><\/a> and legal<\/a><\/strong> persons for the purchase of electric vehicles. In these 40 million another 40 million euros are to be added. euros with which professional taxi owners will be subsidized in order to replace their vehicles with new electric or hybrid ones. The total incentive package will amount, as the Minister of Environment and Energy<\/strong> has recently said, to 22,500 euros, of which 2,000 euros will be a withdrawal bonus.<\/p>\n\n
