The aim is to <strong>support and enhance the competitiveness<\/strong> of innovative <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/espa.io\/en\/business_size\/very-small\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">micro<\/a><\/strong>, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/espa.io\/en\/business_size\/small\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">small<\/a><\/strong>and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/espa.io\/en\/business_size\/medium\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">small and medium-sized enterprises<\/a><\/strong> (SMEs). Support for the <strong>implementation of research and innovation investment projects.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>Through the  <strong>Innovation Guarantee Fund<\/strong> and in cooperation with the Banks will be granted  <strong>investment loans of up to 400,000 euros.<\/strong> The loans will relate to<strong>investments in tangible or intangible fixed assets.<\/strong> Data necessary for the <strong>completion of the investment plan of the enterprise.<\/strong> Businesses will be able to <strong>make use of part of the loan<\/strong> and as <strong>working capital.<\/strong> Condition to be related<strong>with the implementation of their investment plan.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>Beneficiaries will be <strong>only companies<\/strong> that will undertake <strong>to complete an innovative investment plan<\/strong>, with specific <strong>innovation criteria,<\/strong> as described in the notice, <strong>but also environmental, social and <a href=\"https:\/\/krs.gr\/2023\/04\/21\/esg-ti-einai\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">corporate governance (ESG)<\/a><\/strong> criteria, important for their further <strong>sustainable development<\/strong>, while <strong>all sectors of activity<\/strong> are eligible.<\/p>\n\n<p>This is the <strong>first financial tool that concerns exclusively innovative businesses<\/strong> and comes to fill the funding gap of these businesses in view of the <strong>launch<\/strong> of the <strong>new NSRF<\/strong> through which hybrid financial tools will be introduced as a <strong>basic form of business financing.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>The establishment of the Fund provides for a <strong>financial contribution<\/strong> from the Public Investment Programme to the EBA of <strong>64.49 million euros<\/strong> to <strong>cover the guarantee fund and grants<\/strong> to be provided by the Fund.
