{"id":6963,"date":"2022-11-04T13:00:34","date_gmt":"2022-11-04T13:00:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev-espa.summerize.io\/aid-amounting-to-ecu-31-million-euro-in-the-agricultural-sector\/"},"modified":"2023-09-09T15:12:56","modified_gmt":"2023-09-09T15:12:56","slug":"aid-amounting-to-ecu-31-million-euro-in-the-agricultural-sector","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/espa.io\/en\/aid-amounting-to-ecu-31-million-euro-in-the-agricultural-sector\/","title":{"rendered":"Aid amounting to ECU 31 million euro in the agricultural sector"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/espa.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/enisxysi-ypsous-31-ekat-euro-ston-agrotiko-klado-1024x682.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n<p><strong>The transfer of appropriations<\/strong> from the <strong>\n  <a href=\"https:\/\/www.minfin.gr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Ministry of Finance<\/a>\n<\/strong>through the General Accounting Office of the State, to the <strong>\n  <a href=\"https:\/\/www.minagric.gr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Ministry of Rural Development and Food<\/a>\n<\/strong>, amounting to  <strong>31 million euros <\/strong>which <strong>will be directed to the <a href=\"https:\/\/espa.io\/en\/c\/farming-sector\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">agricultural sector<\/a><\/strong> This aid for the agricultural sector is intended for crops:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>table olives<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>of lavender<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>of dried figs<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>of autumn and industrial potatoes<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>of mandarin clementine<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>of tobacco<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>It is recalled that the <strong>European Commission approved<\/strong> last week <strong>the aid scheme<\/strong> for the above products. It is noted that from the above, <strong>appropriations amounting to ECU 15 million euros<\/strong> for the <strong>compensation of table olives, lavender and dried figs<\/strong>, had been transferred to the Ministry of Rural Development and Food <strong>in 2021.<\/strong>However, they <strong>had not been consumed within the year,<\/strong> as the above approval of the Commission was expected.<\/p>\n\n<p>In the <strong>immediate future<\/strong>, based on the Commission&#8217;s decision and the above approval of the appropriations, the relevant <strong>Joint Ministerial Decisions are expected to be issued<\/strong>, in order to pay the relevant aid.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-&#x3B5;&#x3BD;&#x3B9;&#x3C3;&#x3C7;&#x3CD;&#x3C3;&#x3B5;&#x3B9;&#x3C2;-&#x3C3;&#x3C4;&#x3BF;&#x3BD;-&#x3B1;&#x3B3;&#x3C1;&#x3BF;&#x3C4;&#x3B9;&#x3BA;&#x3CC;-&#x3BA;&#x3BB;&#x3AC;&#x3B4;&#x3BF;-&#x3B3;&#x3B9;&#x3B1;-&#x3C4;&#x3B7;&#x3BD;-&#x3B1;&#x3CD;&#x3BE;&#x3B7;&#x3C3;&#x3B7;-&#x3C4;&#x3C9;&#x3BD;-&#x3C4;&#x3B9;&#x3BC;&#x3CE;&#x3BD;\"><strong>Aid to the agricultural sector to increase prices<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p>It is reminded that the agricultural sector, <strong>through the policies<\/strong> of the Ministry of Finance, <strong>is strengthened with a series of measures to address the increases in energy and raw materials<\/strong>, such as:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>The permanent reduction of VAT on animal feed, from 13% to 6%<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>The permanent reduction of fertilizer VAT from 13% to 6%<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>The return of EFK diesel to farmers, for 2022<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Support for livestock farmers for feed price increases<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>It should be noted that <strong>through the measure of the repayable advance and other measures<\/strong> to address the economic consequences of the health crisis <strong>Some EUR 300 million have been made available for this purpose. euros<\/strong> to <strong>support the primary sector<\/strong>;<strong>and an additional EUR 162 million. euros<\/strong> have been allocated by the <strong>Ministry of Finance to the Ministry of Rural Development and Food,<\/strong> in the years <strong>2020 and 2021,<\/strong> to support the sectors affected by the pandemic.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Many initiatives<\/strong> have been taken by other ministries, such as the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/ypen.gov.gr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Ministry of Environment and Energy<\/a><\/strong> by <strong>subsidizing part of the increased energy costs<\/strong>, but also the <strong>Ministry of Rural Development and Food.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p><a
